Hey, I just got a 360 for Christmas, and I've noticed a bit of screen burn after playing it (although it seems to disappear afterwards) Are there any ways I can prevent this from happening (I know not to leave the game running at the same point or on the pause screen) I play it on 1080i by the way...
Well, if you are using a plasma, you shouldn't have to worry about screen burn after about 50 hours or so of the tv being on. Just don't keep the same image on your tv for a long time and don't leave your tv on for a long time either.
crts and plamas can get burn, my buddy got burn in from halo like his screen from grenades and and motion sensor got burned in, the only thing you can do is not to play something that has a still image on the screen for a bunch of hours in a row to be safe. make sure you dont leave it paused for hours either. I got an lcd to make sure because you wont get it with lcd. there isnt much you can do if you get it either.
Plasma's do have the blurr effect, which causes a blurr of the image left when things are moving quickly and frames are changing constantly, there is no harm done to the TV it just looks like the image is still there for a few, so this could also be your problem. If it is truley screen burn that you are talking about, it generally will not go away ever and there is no way to get rid of it. LCD's don't have either of these issues. Also it does take a long time to have the screen burn effect your TV so hopefully it's just the blurr effect!
