Hey guys i need to know how to renew my expired membership. It actually just expired on me a little while ago and i cant get into marketplace to buy more time so what am i going to have to do to get this thing working agian?

try xbox.com. I think you can buy points to your account once your signed in.

There are a couple of other threads stating that XBL just went down again. Maybe that is the cause...
