How do I connect my vista laptop to the xbox 360 so that the 360 can use the internet?

1. Plug ethernet cable into PC and 360. 2. On Vista: Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Sharing Center > Manage network connection (on right side) > Right click your wireless network and click Properties > Sharing tab > Check the box

You have to bridge the connections

a) Get an Ethernet cross over cable. (use the Xbox cable that came with it)
b) Connect the wired NIC from the PC to NIC port on the 360 using the cable.
c) Grab beer
d) On the PC goto Control Panel, Network Connections. Highlight the wireless and wired NIC connections. With both highlighted do a right click and Add to bridge. Setup the bridge config as your network requires.

I clicked on the Local Area Connection (unidentified network), then clicked on my wireless connection, highlighting both (there was also a local area connection 2, but its disabled. i don knot what that is) and clicked bridge connections and it said:

"To create a Network Bridge, you must select at least two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by Internet connection sharing."

thoughts?

i went and UNCHECKED the box under the sharing tab for my wireless connection, and then I was able to bridge the two.

I don't know why its different now, because everything I read (including your advice, which I thank you for) said check the sharing box, but apparently the newest vista doesn't allow bridging with connections that do that. go figure.
