We spent 3 hours playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, which (apparently) "packs in a ton of tutorial and story setup--but this isn't a bad thing."

Alexa Ray wrote an article on the updated version of Lara's skill tree:

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a playground, and the more you do, the better you do by Lara. Fighting enemies and crafting earn Lara skill points, which can be attributed to abilities on three separate branches of Lara's skill tree: the Brawler, Hunter, and Survivor. Each tree is designed to make her tougher in a different way, and there's enough variety in each to make you really feel like the Lara you grow is "My Lara."

How will you be playing Lara in Rise of the Tomb Raider? Stealthy Survivor, Heroic Hunter, or a Bad Ass Brawler?

I voted BA Brawler, which is how I am playing the first game. I don't mind stealth in my games but I'm not a fan of heavy-stealth games, I'm glad you can have different approaches in TR, kind of like the recent Wolfenstein game, otherwise I would not be interested in this game.

A AAA game that's exclusive to one platform will probably not take that big risks in its play styles. I bet it will devolve into the standard TPS which is how I'll play it.

The Bow and Arrow from the last game was overpower but I enjoy being stealthy as possible. She's no Solid Snake but playing in different style was enjoyable. That said, as long as the Bow isn't nerf, I'm good to go when it comes to headshots. Voted: Heroic Hunter.

I definitely prefer more of a stealthy approach, but I'm sure it'll be a bit of everything.

I will probably play a little bit of everything, I do not want to be in stealth mode 24/7.

I guess the game itself will direct where the stealth is more approachable or guns blazing

I'll be sticking with my usual strategy. Try to be stealthy, when everything goes to h***, kill everyone.

A bit of everything, but I like to be stealthy, which reminds me, I wish UbiSoft make another Splinter Cell game soon.

I'll go into the game with the intent of using stealth, like I do in many games, but I'll eventually fall back into just run'n'gun, simply because I get impatient.

I play stealth too actually what I usually do is take out as many foes as possible using stealth approach first, and then I get ready for a more aggressive approach as I take down the rest, I'm fine with a little stealth I'm just glad I don't have to go stealth 100% of the time.

A bit of everything, I prefer to be an all rounder than to focus on only one skill set. You never know when you may need other skills after all, better safe than sorry.

A little bit of everything for me. I try to use stealth as much as possible, but sometimes it's just not practical.

Mix of both I think. I do the same with Metal Gear Solid 5. But not on purpose. I try to be stealthy, fail, and then just go all out megasmashing outposts. Ah...good times.

I probably won't be playing Lara as I'm not a TR fan. Saves me money for other Xbone games.

When I play it, I'll go stealth as much as I can, then go all out bad ass when the game doesn't permit a stealth encounter.
