Sorry guy, I don't have the date you were looking for. But I do agree with your point about cable. In this day and age between Hulu, Netflix, and the internet it's just not worth it any more.
I'm just sent an e-mail to their support staff, figured why the hell not. Will post back when I get a reply.000000000111Cool. Hopefully they give you a date rather than a "soon".
But which ISP? Is that something that will be industry wide or just for that particular company?I know someone that works for an ISP and he said soon you'll have to pay extra on your internet bill to stream stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and anything that is direct competition with Cable TV. I'm not too sure how soon but he said it is definitely coming.

How are they gonna charge you for what you use your internet for? That would be messed up.I know someone that works for an ISP and he said soon you'll have to pay extra on your internet bill to stream stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and anything that is direct competition with Cable TV. But which ISP? Is that something that will be industry wide or just for that particular company? I won't metion the ISP directly but I will tell you they also provide cable TV. I heard that Internet as a whole will be charging an al la carte type service, so if you want to stream you pay one price, and to stream HD it is another price. Like I said as of now it is just hearsay. I personaly think that by the time that happens Wireless ISP's like Verizon, AT&T ect. will be cheap enough that the big ISP's will have a hard time.[QUOTE="boardn720"]How are they gonna charge you for what you use your internet for? That would be messed up. I've been reading on how some ISPs are going to limit amount of data you can download per month and then charge per GB. Some may already do that. So the more you stream, the more you pay. Also, the ISP's may charge the providers themselves (Netflix, Hulu, Google, Apple) for content. That would probably lead to higher subscription costs. The concern is how much power the ISP's will have to charge those data suppliers.I know someone that works for an ISP and he said soon you'll have to pay extra on your internet bill to stream stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and anything that is direct competition with Cable TV. Yeah, I don't see this happening, at least not in the way you put it. I mean, I don't see how they could possibly pinpoint out certain websites (in this case Netflix and Hulu) and charge more for access to them, especially since people already pay for these services.
They do already have bandwidth limits, though.
