From what I've read the Jasper chips will be available by Q3 2009. They will more than likely bring another price drop.

That is still a way off though if you're actually thinking about waiting to purchase a 360 until they hit.

AND FOR ALL THE JOKESTERS:

The Jasper chip is the replacement for the Falcon chip. The Falcon chip took the die manufacturing process for the chips in the 360 from 90nm to 65nm. The Jasper chips will be die cast on a 45nm scale - further reducing heat and increasing efficiency.
