I am getting Halo 3, but I might not be able to play online Multiplayer :(

I just pre-ordered Halo 3 but now I have a problem. My internet connection is only 256k/64k broadband connection.

Will that be fast enough to play Halo 3 online? I do not want to Host games or anything, just want to play against other people on any random server. I have played Gears of War online before and it worked pretty well with only slight bullet lag.

So will I be able to play Halo 3 online Multiplayer with my 256k/64k internet connection?

You probably won't be able to play effectively at those connection speeds. Sorry. The SP campaign is going to be AMAZING though. :)DataDream

But could I still PLAY at those connection speeds?

Like I dont mind if the game is abit laggy, but would it be playable atleast?

But Gears of War worked pretty well and I never really got kicked.

So would Halo 3 online work pretty well if Gears of War did?

Yep, Gears has some of the worst connection and lag issues of any game i've played on 360 yet. Halo 3 will deffinetly work but i don't think you'll find yourself hosting games anytime soon.

Well as I stated before I dont want to host games or need to.

As long as I can play Halo 3 online with not much lag I will be very happy. As long as the game is playable.

you can always go to a room where there arent alot ofplayer slot..

Are there such things as 4 player Multiplayer games in Halo 3? Where only 4 players are allowed in the server?

Can I choose to play in one of these 4 player servers or do I automatically get put into a random server?
