I am new, are there any absolutely must have games for XBOX 360?

Apart from Halo 3 and Ace Combat, of course, what should I get. I have Lost Planet, Madden 08, Tiger Woods 08, and Forza 2.

Youve got to play Gears of War and Oblivion if your in toRPG.

Isn't there a sci-fi FPS coming out in about a week or so that's apparently going to be quite good?

Guitar Heroes 2 anyone? Simply astounding, especially if you havent already played it on the PS2. If you think its a game you'd be interested in i would advice that you dont get GH3. The song list just isnt as good as GH2 and the achievements look like a nightmare (if you're into achievements ofcourse ;) ). The added bonus is that it will be cheaper than GH3 and Rock band. The latter i suggest you get if you want to try out drums instead.

The other games i would suggest are Oblivion, Bioshock and Gears of War. This coming christmas i would suggest Halo 3, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6, Half Life 2: Orange Box, Assasins Creed and PGR4.

Bioshock is a given and Vegas is almost a must... i didn't like any clancy games until i playedthis... as for gears of war. save your money unless you're playing Live. just rent it and beat it in 2 days.
