I will admit the first few hours after playing dragon age I was severely disappointed. I was starting to look at the reciept for gamespots return policy when I decied what the heck I will play it awile n give it another shot. I am really happy I did. See when I got dragon age I was expecting another action rpg hybrid kinda like fable 2, oblivion, fallout 3, and most of all mass effect but with swords. I have not really played many real rpgs and it kinda threw me off, but the more I played it, especially once I changed my character from a dwarve warrior to an elf mage did things really start to get fun. I dont in any way shape or form think this game is perfect, but I do think the story, and the length of the game are totally top notch, and I think you get your moneys worth totally. Basically I just want to tell people who just started playing it and maybe dont like it or are disappointed in it to give it a little bit longer, and most likely u will like it, it just taakes a wile to get used to.

Almost all RPGs are kinda like this, in that it takes a while to get used to them... Aside from the graphics, I love Dragon Age so far

Yeah, They could have done a little better on the Texturing.

I know that deep down inside I would love the game much more if I could physically swing my two blades (Dwarf Rouge here). But other than that the game is by far amazing. The story, the characters, the brutal bloody action. I have never really liked a lot of RPG NPCs since this game. Morrigan and Alistair should just be a married couple.

I agree, besides the graphics and the camera this game is great. It is worth the $60. The combat wasn't fun at first but now that I'm a level 15 arcane warrior human mage the combat is fun. I also want to play a warrior and a rouge so this game should be good for a few playthroughs.

I am almost done with my first playthrough and I must say it was fantastic all of the way through. I am going to play it again in just a few minutes.

Lovin me some Dragon Age too. I like how they integrated all 3 versions into the Bioware community site (of course PC has more features). I'm playing on a HDTV and I don't have a problem with the graphics, the game is what it should be.

my god how have u guys beaten it already? Did u do all the side quests as well? I cant even imagine beating it in such a short time, I have played probably 10-15 hr into it and I feel like I havent even scratched the surface yet, the game seems freaking huge. Also what npc is better when u r a mage, the warhound, or sten or whatever the dude who u rescue in the cage name is lol.

I Could admire this lovely game all day. Okay, the enviroment textures are not lovely, but this game is still amazing. What an epic tale it weaves. Bioware are truly the best story tellers in gaming, possibly ever.

Just reading these posts tells me thatthis is a game I want to play! I've held out cause of the combat video's I've seen and that really didn'tlook very appealing to me, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to find out for myself.

Seems like a fun game for a day but do you like spending 100+ hours by yourself ruining your social lives?

It seems like the only people who are truly enjoying this game are the elf mages and that the warrior / melee type classes are boring.

I was going to pick this up as soon as I beat Oblivion again (I just started a 2nd playthrough). Maybe by that time I'd be able to find it online somewhere for $10 bucks cheaper.

I'm really fighting myself to keep from just driving to the store and picking it up new right now though lol

DA is just like the KOTOR games in terms of pacing. It starts off really slow and limited, but once you get a little bit through the game it really picks up steam. I'm loving it so far after about 12 hours.

Glad you gave a second shot then. Graphics aside (which have never ranked highly in terms of what's important to me) I think it's terrific.

Please don't actually say this on a gaming forum. Any hardcore gamer has gotten lost in their fair share of games, and pointing out that a game could waste too much of your time kind of loses its meaning in a community like gamespot.

sort of, i havnt really figured out the system but its definatly not D20 rules like kotor and neverwinter nights had, comabt is more fast pace so if it is turn-based its hard to tell, very fun though with some awesome finishing moves

I beat it in around 45 hours and this time around I am going to do EVERYTHING that I can find.
