I fear the red ring of death. A guy that I work with said that they happen to almost every 360 and to fix it you end up frying components to you hardware and losing information. IS a hater or just trying to help me out?

I have a wii (*ducks*) and have never had any problems with it.

So, basically, what I'm asking for opinions. Does the red ring happen a lot? And to fix it does it screw of your hardware?

danke in advance.

The chances of RROD are reduced with the new chipsets, but they can still get them. They are more reliable now, and the 360 does have great games. You should go for it.

There is not one person I know that owns a 360, and has not got the Red Ring of Death.

I know around 30 people who own them.

I own both and prefer the ps3 btu hoenstly otehr than the fact to icnrease ps3 sales if your in america then i would have to say the 360. So far my ps3 has crapped out twice and my 360 once. I know the 360 is still more reliable but for the 360 the repaisr are free(until when? im not sure?) whereas for the ps3 the repairs are $150. My Ps3 just crapped out an horu go to ylod and the repairs are $150. that could buy me a arcade 360 and i would have aback up so im wondering what to do.

I still have my original xbox360 elite(20gb) from launch and I have never experienced the RROD. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Buy a ps3 instead. The only reason im a ps3 fanboy is because Ive through 4 360's it sucks, takes 2 months to ship it to them and back

Offcourse im going to trust you:roll: Firstly, the Jasper 360s are very cheap and reliable too. Then theres the 3 year warranty so youre pretty safe.

This forum isn't for system recommendations. Also, info on the RROD can be found in the stickied threads.
