I applaud capcom's decision to set RE5 in Africa

no...this is not another thread about the re5 race issue

personally, i would prefer re5 to take place in a huge city swarming with ACTUAL ZOMBIES. however, i feel that re is never going to take that road again.....damn

so if the game HAS to be re4ish, then i applaud capcoms decision to set the game in africa

think for a second about how many games uve played that take place in Africa.

i dont think theres that many....

this is a real shame too. we've all played countless games that take place in north and south america, europe, and asia....but whens the last time u played a game in africa

i know that i cant remember (tomb raider maybe?)

we'll get to see some art designs and natural environments that aren't very common in the gaming world

just imagine the grasslands or rainforests in africa rendered in next gen graphics

OH, and i totally 4got about the non human enemy possibilities. africa is home to ALOT of the worlds coolest (and most dangerous) animals.

just imagine being attacked by a zombie lion instead of a dog (i know, there was a lion boss in re: outbreak 2)

or even better. an elephant boss!!!! (again i know, re: outbreak 2....but that game sucked). i can just imagine that u have to kill it by blowing off a leg with an rpg or something. :D

im just saying that im gonna love the geographic location because i as a gamer dont get to see it very often in a game

halo3's earth levels look like they are in Africa (e3'06 trailer), cod2 had british levels in the african desert, i think splinter cell DA's few levels were in africa as well, AND THERES A GAME ON PS3 CALLED "AFRIKA"....srry but its not newaxes03

Last year in Splinter Cell: Double agent which includes levels in Kinshasa in which you can decide if a militia executes a bunch of people. I haven't heard of a single complaint about that.marty_81

back to topic, I agree. I think it's a good decision since we don't see alot of games where you play in Africa, so yeah I think it was a great decision :D

You know that egypt is in Africa right? ... Well its hard to see games in Africa because there is almost to see there, history (not to blame some countrys) torned that place apart.

But there is some games that take place there, Im playing C&C right now and there missions is Cairo, Alexandria... There is some war shooters too...

Btw, I dont think Capcon had your point of view to choose Africa...
