i cant connect to live please help me!

I bought the membership and the eathernet cable and nothing it just doesnt connectve plugged it into the back of the modem (the one with tgreen lights on my ISP gave me) and it just says failed please can someone help me!!!!!!!!!!

You can't connect directly to a modem, you will need a router or some kind.spazzx625

Yeah you need a Modem Router. It even has a "how t oconnect to Xbox live" booklet that comes with the 360. It tells you in there this is the router modem i had to buy for me to go on Xbox Live

My friend had that problem when he connected via Ethernet cable for the first time. But sorry i can't remember how we solved it. Just Google search it.

wtf the woman in the shop said all i needed was a ethernet cable and just needed to plug it into my modem and that was itRDOTR

You NEED a Modem Router, look at the URL i posted earlier. Unless your Modem is a Modem Router you will not be able to connect to XBL. End of, it just wont work the lady meant a Modem router.

Well she's either lying or dumb, because when i got the Xbox 360 i only had a ISP modem and it would not work, so i went out and bought a Modem router and as soon as i bought that it worked.

The PS3 (and Wii) would both need routers too...

You can find a router for like $20-30.

YOU NEED A MODEM ROUTER END OF!
