I Dont Get It *HALO 3* *Spoiler Warning*

I beat halo three yesterday.

But there is somthing i don understand.

When you are on the warthog and you jump into the hanger thing
right at the end. The Arbiter goes into to control room or somthin
and you (MC) slide down the floor and nearly fall out but you manage
to climb back up.

Then the screen went black and there was another cut-scene at
a war memorial thing and they say MC is dead.

How? Did i miss somthing?

The ship t hey were on tried to do a jump thorugh space and got cut in half, Arbiter in front, MC in back.

just play the final level again.. and watch them. you can go to campaign and select the very last level.

you cab even "just" play the final level on legendary to get the "extra" clip.

What was the extra scene? cause I completed it on Legendary and saw no difference when I went through it on Normal afterwards O.o

SPARTAN-117 is Master Chief, and they thought he was dead, so someone carved it there in his memory.
