I don't understand Halo players...

How is it that less than a week after a new Halo game launches with new weapons to use, new armor abilities to try out and re-balanced everything, the only thing anyone wants to play in Team Slayer is Snipers or SWAT? I mean, seriously? You don't want to use anything else besides a sniper with Sprint? It's extremely frustrating for me as someone who wants to use the armor abilities and new weapons. What gives Halo players? Why do you only want to play game-types that restrict weapons, vehicles and armor abilities ONE WEEK AFTER LAUNCH! You can't possibly have already decided that armor abilities=noob already!

I agree. I don't mind playing those games every now and then, but how frequently people vote for it is annoying.

im thinking its related to the fact that most "halo gamers" dont like how long it takes to kill someone now...SWAT and Sniper are both single shot kill gametypes. i dont mind them, but agreed...mostly everyone votes for SWAT whenever im playing Slayer.

My only advise would be to stick to your friends list and perhaps take a look at some custom game variants that might appeal to you

i like Halo 3 matchmaking better atleast if i wanna play Team swat i can just play that. if i wanna play TD then i can just play that .easy and fast the new system is nice but idk i just dont like it .

Halo has a bunch of different game types including custom games. How are you forced to only play one game type (swat)...

So you have to play another mode because group majority wins? This is why playlists are better, you get to try everything. Otherwise hey, game modes Bungie spent hours, days or weeks making... and you'll never get to play them. All those abilities and weapons? Nah forget it, SWAT mode only.Wiffle_Snuff

It was just a suggestion to go play another mode. I don't understand what you're complaining about if you have to the option to VOTE on what you want to play. Most cases they dont even have swat or snipers as an option. And if majority rules, that's too bad isn't it.. its what people want to play. Im sure bungie will eventually come out with other playlists.

Actually its a very high chance, because everyone votes for it and I mean EVERY time. So I do go on other playlists. just to avoid it. SWAT needs its own playlist. The TC wants to play team slayer which is why he/she created the topic and is not getting a good chance to play other game types because of this.

The simple fact that YOU have no clue there are plenty other game types to play where SWAT is not even considered in the playlist. so your not "forced" to play one game type

Seriously it does get annoying when I play rumble pit every one picks slayer pro or classic I still haven't done a race match yet :x

The simple fact that YOU have no clue there are plenty other game types to play where SWAT is not even considered in the playlist. so your not "forced" to play one game type

Its still too early. More will come eventually. Most people right now are practicing in the campaign.

I may not have ever played Halo Reach, but they did this in Gears 2. There is no excuse of "you have the CHANCE of getting", there should be no chance, I should get to play what I want to play, end of discussion. Why should someone be forced to play a game type they don't want?

How do you not get what you want to play? You choose the option Team Slayer. Thats what you want to play. Then you vote on which gametype you want. You're not being forced. :roll:

People forget Bungie constantly updates there games constantly with matchmaking, downloads and patches. have patience people. Its not a permenent playlist. snipers and swat will have there own playlist. I think Bungie is calculating the numbers of the popular game types and adjusting them later

How do you not get what you want to play? You choose the option Team Slayer. Thats what you want to play. Then you vote on which gametype you want. You're not being forced. :roll:

you're right, its not "forced" and the player can leave lobby before the match starts. HOWEVER, the main complaint here is people play "Team Slayer" for TDM...with the shields, different weapons, etc. I dont hate SWAT, enjoy it in small doses...but it can get annoying when particular lobbies pick SWAT matches 80% of the time. If your lobby has a party or clan of 3+ players and want SWAT everytime, they can vote it and chances are very high it will win.

Its nice to have a change of pace, but TDM should definitely have its own playlist...with Elite Slayer, DMR and some of the other less restrictive mode types. SWAT and Snipers should be in their own playlist considered "Customs" or something.

You should try the Arena playlists. They don't have SWAT or Snipers

SWAT really boring, first 20 mintutes online was playing this. Dunno what else to play in Reach.
