I cant wait for crackdown. I dont listen to gamespot, cuz if I did listen to gamespot i wouldnt have played zelda and I would have missed out. I recommend gamerankings, not just because they compile all the reviews, but because you can read the full articles as well. Good source.

i would also recomend 1up.com, because they review games like real ppl. they gave crackdown a 9.0 basicly because it's so fun on such a god like level.

The Beta doesn't start until spring and its only specially marked copies that include the beta.
If you dont want to pay $60 for it, I have found that if your one of the first persons to rent a copy from Gamefly, once you receive the game, do the "buy it" now option and you will get the used price of around $45. I did that with Rainbow Six: Vegas.
I'm not buying it, and I can't wait till the launch of Halo 3. Just be patient. Or, get the demo and sample it or see if a friend bought it and play it at his house or borrow it.

Well, actually the crackdown disc is the code itself to get into the beta. You are right that the beta will be a download, but the crackdown disc is the key.
