1st of all their is no point in buying a 360 w/o getting live. Most of the games out their have good, replayable campaigns but have a great multiplayer to back it up. Assassins Creed had a long storyline but no replay value whatsoever. GTA IV and Saints Row 2 also have legthy stories (saints is way better) and they have good replay value, well at least it's fun to go around and shoot up the place.

Dead space is an awesome game with single player only. It has several difficulties and many achievements that require more than one play through the game.

Ok, if you can still get connected to the live arcade, I highly recommend Braid. It is a blast! Other than that, The Force Unleashed is fun. And no question, Bioshock is a must have.

Why no live? it's where all the funs at. It's a part of the 360 experience. You need it. It's essential!

Eternal sonata(25 hours),Lost odyssey(50+),and Tales of vesperia not sure how longt it is but i believe it's like 50-60 hours. Fallout 3 will be increadibly long as well. Around 100 hours i believe with great replayabilility.

There's a million games...I've had my xbox for a couple years and I've never been on Live. I don't have the time since I play a different game online all the time.

I still had fun with CoD4, Gears of War, and any number of single player games...Bioshock, Dead Space is awesome from the little i've played of it, Fable 2, Fallout 3 is coming in a week, Pure is awesome (though there isn't a lot to it), Tales of Vesperia is a fun RPG, Devil May Cry 4, Dead Rising, Orange Box...there's no reason you need Live just to have fun with the 360.

My Vesperia clear time (1st time) is about 60 hrs, so that's about right.

Well fallout 3 is coming out and since it's created by bethesda(the same people behind oblivion) I'm pretty sure that's a must get for people who don't play online, Imo, It's a must get regardless but for games that are out right now I would go with bioshock, saints row 2,GTA IV and forza motorsport if your into racing games the way you can customize your cars in that game can take you a day alone on one car if you really want to make it unique.

Um... pretty much every single game is supposed to have a good single player mode. That's what games are made for. The multiplayer/online gaming aspect is a bonus. Just pick out some games you like and play the single player modes on them and disregard the live stuff.

IF the time has come that you shouldnt buy a gaming console without having ONLINE ...Then we are in trouble. If the games arent good enough for offline, then what good are they online? Run shoot, die...Run shoot die....Spawn, die, ...ect ect..That isnt much of a selling point to me.

Tales of Vesperia : Great game, I have put more then 100 hours into it and still enjoy it ^.^

Bioshock : Still a very fun game to play through.

Crackdown : Most underrated game this gen.

Mass Effect : A great game that I do not think anyone should miss.

Oblivion GOTY : huge game with endless amounts of stuff to do.

Many more but those are my top 5 offline games off the top of my head.(yes I know you have 2 of them haha)

Don't listen to him, there are plenty of good reasons to get a 360 without live, if you really like the Final Fantasy series you should atleast give Blue Dragon a try, as well as Lost Odyssey, and right now I'm playing Dead Space which may be the best single player experience I've had so far on the 360, it's incredible. However, if you're certain you're never going to want live, I'd get the Arcade package because the price is so very easy to swallow.

Also check out Hitman Blood Money. It's a great game and you needn't worry about missing out on any online stuff cuz..well...there isn't an online mode. Check it out and tell me what you think. It's like 20$ for a used copy at GameStop.
