There's no need to keep looking at the lights on the console while you're playing a game. I've never had the RRoD but I imagine if it happened the game would crash or something. If the game is playing fine, chances are your console hasn't red ringed. No need to keep looking at the console.
mr.paranoid, try to think about games while you're playing games, and also if it did rrod, then microsoft would replace or fix it for free, if not, then they're cheap as donuts now, so don't worry. :)
it's never happened to me and i don't think bout it when i play. one time the power blinked it turned red i turned it off and it was fine idk what happened.
Ok let me see if i understand your question. When you play your 360 (meaning when your looking at the screen) you always look at your xbox to see if it has RROD? (Meaning you look away from the screen) Well my friend you have to come to Gamespot where common sense oozes out of every pore. Heres what you do, you keep playing your game, you keep looking at your screen and if it crashes you THEN turn and look at your xbox 360. Problem solved : )
