THEN THEN!!! I went to go get my other disc to install to the HD and while i put the ****g disc in i was arranging the wire to my modem and i started to pull the power cord so i could plug it into the ****g wall AND MY 360 FELL OVER AGAIN, BOTH have circle scratches, OH MY GOD! and i just traded in some games for them today FML!

Ugh, sorry to hear that!

Try getting the discs rebuffed at your local GameCrazy or GameStop!

Would be smart to set up console up to which it can't fall over and/or when rearranging items around the console power it down.

well, if you have a gamecrazy in your area they can buffer the game, which removes a majority of the ring making the disc playable

Why? It was his fault.. I dropped my cellphone before and it broke.. **** you Sprint.. Oh wait no that was my fault. Anyway that is why I keep my console horizontal and check everything before I put it on my table. I actually keep it in my entertainment center unless I am playing it because **** happens.

I work at Blockbuster and have put in several circle scratch games into our disc refurbisher. I can tell you with confidence that not a single one of them has ever restored the game to playable form. I'm sorry to hear about what happened though, it sounds like soemthing that could happen to me.

You would be surprised at some of the **** they try to sell you at Gamestop. Some guy tried to sell me the last copy of Chromehounds and it had a huge scratch in it. Right before I gave him the money he said "Oh yeah there is a small scratch on it but this is our only copy" what the **** is that? The scratch was huge and he didn't seem to care if I bought it or not. Heck he didn't even tell me not to buy it just that it had a "small" scratch. It probably just matters if the employees are good or not.

Ok, no even somewhat competent retailer will take those back.

He said one of them still worked fine and one did not ... I assure you , if he does get any dispute from the retailer all he has to do is insist that it was like that when he put it in the machine..Just put up a small fuss about it and they will exchange it... Not like they have proof that it wasnt damaged.. Im sure they take pictures of every disc they sell to make sure this kind of thing does not happen.. As long as it is the same title you will beable to get a exchange if you do the above...

Ok, make an ass of yourself and ruin someone else's day because you're an idiot? Oh, and at MY store. We have people do this often, guess what? It doesn't work...Some people are stupid, and don't want to deal with whiny people, but we just ask them to leave the store. If they don't, we call security. Easy as that.

Take a valium and loosen up pal..

To the Chuck Norris of retailing.. If someone trying to return a game is going to ruin your whole day , then yes you need to seek some meds to loosen you up.. :D

I didn't say they succeed, it's what they try to do. Either way, they make a total ass of themselves, and make me laugh...Improving my day actually.

Have you tried the toothpaste trick?

Get some toothpaste (PASTE, not GEL), and put a small amount on the tip of your finger. GENTLY rub the toothpaste into the scratches on the discs. This works because it fills the scratches and allows the lasers to pass over them without getting "stuck". Make sure you wipe away any excess with a clean, soft cloth. I've reccomended this to my customers time and time again, and it works on most smaller and medium-sized scratches.

call up a gamestop, ask them if they have a disc cleaner, they'll redirect you to either an ebgames or another gamestop that has one if they don't. I can say with confidence (5 discs so far, chyeaah) that they'll restore it to playability, got my halo 3 disc restored 2 times now. Costs like 5 dollars though, so meh.

When my friends are over we play ring toss with them, first disc to actually make it on the thing we have to play all night. Albeit none of us have good aim or skill, so it takes awhile.

yes you will im afraid.

All installing to the hard drive does is make the xbox NOT have to read the disc as often, so it prevents your system from over heating, but the disc will still be read on that scatch.

Welcome to the world of laserburn. Do not, EVER, move your console while a disc is spinning in the tray, or this will happen. Lie it flat if it's that prone to falling over.

Just go to Gamestop and trade the game in as damaged. They will accept the trade, not for the full trade in price, but at least you will not have to pay the full price to replace the game. Unfortunately, I did this to my Oblivion game. I kicked over my 360 and put a huge circle around the disc. I have since learned to never mess around with the box will it's on. Just take the time to log off and turn off the system and then do your ajustments. Better in the long run.

I think your first mistake was caring about the disconnection; that'd piss me off too, but I'd rather have non-scratched games hahaha.
