Crunch, I have seen some tremendous jerks on Gears lately. I had a clan member talking smack right from the beginning of the game about how good he was, and I owned him terribly quite a bit throughout the game. (Which I find highly amusing, so did my buddy NimrodofArnor... he did it to him too) but I let my actions speak for me, and not once did I rape him, talk smack back, or anything. The only thing I said was something along the lines of, "not talking so much now, are you?"

Basically, he said he was going to get his whole clan to send my bad feedback for offensive voice use, to basically teach me a lesson. Granted nothing ever happened, but I did want you to be aware that this kind of thing goes on.

Oddly enough, my friend I mentioned WAS called NimrodofAsshur (I believe Asshur is a biblical term) and within days of this match he was forced to change his name to the current NimrodofArnor.

Unfortunately, I dont see how anything can be done about this type of thing, if thats what happened to you. Sorry to hear it, mate.

Are we getting the whole story here? Not having a mic isn't a bannable or suspendible offence.

Were you team-killing or exhibiting poor sportsmanship in any way? Did you send an offensive text message? I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons that have nothing to do with not having a mic.

Don't worry, compaints are only counted it the person you are complaining against is in your recent players list. So this can't happen... unless they are all in the same game of course.

No one said about it being better/worse - it's the fact you can be unrightfully suspended for not using it because of bitter players. Microsoft needs a new system, because people like crunchUK (assuming he did nothing wrong) are being abused by it. There might be 10% of that 12 million who actually use the File Complaint/Review system properly.

That's ridiculous; calling someone rude for not having a mic or even not wanting to use it. Rude is if someone is going around insulting people, etc, not lacking a mic.

I have a mic which I'll use if I'm ever in a match with people who are actually going to be discussing tactics or something that pertains to the game outside of "I JUST OWNED YO ASS"; which effectively limits my mic usage to a very small portion of the games I play. Is it rude? No, not at all.

I think I'll eventually love you. Sadly you probably wont see my name pop up on here as much after August. I take online courses as well as on-campus courses, so for 10 months I'll have 7 groups of people to force my wisdom on (excluding College Algebra, of course). The awesome part about that is the validation of arrogance through a high GPA. I'll still be here, certainly, but far less than I am during the summer. I'll probably be nicer too because I'll have douchebagged myself out during the afternoon.
