Treyarch just gave your enemies 999999999999999999 grenades so if you try to hide for more than 3 seconds to recover health the enemy has already surrounded you with grenades and there is nothing you can do. It wasn't so bad but the last two levels are ridiculous. It took me probably 50 lives to beat the second to last level and I've tried like 10 times and can't get past the first room on Downfall. I'm taking a break because it's so frustrating.
I've come this far, I'm going to beat it. I just hate how the enemy has infinite grenades and even if you kill 100's of guys they will just respawn with more grenades until you move up and trigger the next set of guys. But this room is ridiculous because you're funneled in and the rooms huge, full of guys that two shot you from places you can't even see, and if you kill them a guy will come in to replace him. And their grenade throwing skills are even more ridiculous. You'll be behind a few bookcases, haven't been seen yet and a grenade will come through the smallest crack bounce off a chair and land just far enough off that you can't throw it back and it's going to kill you.
I beat burn em out with only a flamethrower, knife, and grenades to get the achievement and I did it on veteran on my first play through of the level. If you can't get by that then you're going to hate the last 2 levels.

But yeah, I already hate Veteran so I know Im going to hate the last 2 levels.
i havent brought waw yet but im still doing vet on cod4 and the final level (the extra bit on the plane) is soooooo tough. as soon as you pop you head out youre shot. there is videos on youtub ebut i still dont get it. i kill about 4-5 people max.
i think they respwan if you kill em on the lower settings as well, you have to up closer to their position to prevent then respawningpenpusher
yea it was the same in COD4. if you dont pass a certain point then they just keep respawning, which is so annoying, sometimes its easier to kill a few and they just make a run for it.
COD2 was a little harder than COD5, and it still was pretty easy as long as you took it slow. I believe you were dead in 3 consecutive machine gun shots, or 2 shotgun shots. You see a grenade? Fall back. Stay behind cover (which can be a ***** because there's no cover button like R6V or GoW) and snipe with a shotgun. Then rush with a Thompson. Rise, Repeat. Well, at least that's how it is in COD2.
if its anything like cod4 veteran, then i know what u mean. 'veteran', so its supposed to be what its really like. its good for the most part, but i am sure you wudnt be spammed with grenades like that, especially back then.

I found 2 a lot easier than 5, I beat 2 in one day. 5 wouldn't be very hard if you weren't circled by grenades. I just wish they would make Veteran more difficult in another way. Out of the CODs i've played I'd say 2 was the easiest and then 4 and then 5's the hardest and I don't remember the original COD to well so I'm not going to put it but they are all really hard.

I didn't even notice the grenades until the last 2 levels. Then it was overly ridiculous at how many they tossed at you. But i didn't have any problems avoiding them. 2 was just as bad, if not worse. It doesn't affect the way i feel about the game.
