i HATE microsoft points!!!!!

i want to buy battlefield 1943 so i research whats the cheapest way to obtain MS poins... i could go to the store and buy exactly 1200 (thats how much BF costs) for 20.00$ but i then look at the XBL store and i could get 1000 for 12.00$... but even if i did but the cheap one, it would be enough, i would have to spend seven more dollars at the MS store... why dont they make a simple sytem where u can choose how much you want!?

They should cause all they want is munny, and MS points just get in the way of the transactions. Or so I believe them to be. >_>

Ohh well, just gotta deal with it. I dont mind having a little M$ points left over personally, because i know ill use them later on.

I hate when people ride on MS for being all about making money when that's the ultimate goal of every company. Sony and Nintendo want to make money too. And last I checked, car companies want to make money, food and drug companies want to make money, advertising companies want to make money, all entertainment companies want to make money. This isn't about making money. It's stupid to make people buy extra points that they aren't going to need. When I got Halo 3 a few weeks ago (yes I know I'm a little late) I had to spend $18.75 for 1500 MS points on Live, when I only needed 1400 for all the maps. I wound up with 100 points leftover and since I had nothing ebtter to do with them, spent it on a picture pack. I shouldn't have had to pay for 100 points I didn't need. A $10 game costs you 800 MS Points, so again, you're forced to buy 1000 and be stuck with 200 left over this time. There may be a way around it if you go out and buy Points cards, but the whole point of being able to pay with a credit card for the MS Points on Live is the convenience and not being forced to run out to a store to buy them. It makes no sense. Nintendo at least makes their points 1:1 so that same $10 game still costs you $10, but I think Wii points should be done away with also because you run into the same problem with lesser point games such as SNES VC titles which run 800. You're stuck with leftover points you don't need. Sony did things the right way and charges actual dollar amounts on PSN so they're still making money, but making it more convenient for the consumer.

You can't just use a credit card to buy what you want on Live. You still need MS Points. You can use a credit card to buy MS Points on Live (which is what I had to do), but it's not like PSN where you can just pay the amount it costs. I think Microsoft did say at E3 that they were going to make it so you could pay with a credit card right from Live, but I don't see why they haven't implemented that yet and are still forcing us to use points.

I think microsoft should take a leaf outta nintendo's book and do like trade ins from Codes for buying games.
