every console gen they get more expensive and more deffective im on my 9th 360 and at 60 bucs a warranty at gamestop i could have bought motor bike for next summer feel like microsoft should send me a free elite or something i still dont even have a hdmi compatible 360 yet if you go buy a new one today it comes with it i feel like being loyal gets you ripped off now.and why r we paying 60 bucs for games (sports) that are lacking the features of past and (shooters)(call of duty4) that are way way shorter than those of past its almost like the creators are sayin were losers ,idots who will pay anything no matter what they put out basically we'll give you less for more money........damm and we keep forking out big bucs guess its like cigerrets you just become addictided...........but i did quit smoking so i guess i stop this madness that is becoming the video game industry its a shame to think were getting better lookin games but alot less gameplay i thought gameplay was what video games was all about......and after all the games and consles ive purchased and looking at the total number of $$$$$ ive forked out its mind boggling then i call microsoft and yet they dont give a crap basically laugh at the fact im on my 9th 360 and still dont have a hdmi console...guess supporting and loyalty means nothing just fork out more44444 and buy basically the same system i have for the upgrade that a first time buyer gets right off the back ....what a crock of sh*#.but if some body dosent star to say enough is enough no one will but i bet the mass thats been playing since a young age like me will just keep playing and payin and then get that i wish i wouldnt have done that feeling when you relize you just payed as much for a 5 hour video game and console as you would a car..........

I did read it though, and from what I understood, you do have a point, the game industry kind of rewards loyalty by ripping off the consumer (Gears of War PC vs. 360 where console owners payed $60 for an incomplete game).
Yes, it's expensive. But there are ways around paying $80 for a game: try renting it maybe? Getting it used perhaps? Stop buying new sports games in general?
Also, if you are actually on you 9th 360 (something I find hard to believe on it's own) then not only would you not have had all that much time actually play games, but every single repair would have been covered by M$ and you would be a fool to have bought a waurantee every damn time.
Yes, gaming is expensive, but if you used your Problem Solving Skills a little more then it would get considerably more affordable. And use paragraphs for cryin' out loud. Congrats on quitting smoking too.
it was a lil hard to read, but i totaly get what he's saying. basicly companys are turning out games that are shorter, only marginally better looking, and almost exactly the same in gameplay, and in the end charging more for them. the most perplexing thing about it is that the orange box was $10 less then a regualr 360 game and it has 5 games on the disc? somthing tells me that assassins creed and mass effect might change this in some ways, but it's only a very small step, just like bioshock, it;s a half babystep in the right direction, and maybe if developers came up w/ new and exciting ideas rather then just trying to get a game to look good we would actually be getting somwhere. all well graphics won't even matter in a few years so once ppl realize that we might actually start making games w/ some true depth.

my launch 360 died about a week or so ago.. im still waiting for the box to mail it to them... good thing i was able to buy an elite for the time being.

3. games are at a good price rite now for all the tech that is used to make them im happy and
4. for the sport games iehter be like me and say WTF i can go out side and play sports or just buy an old one i mean there all the same except with updated games like if u had fun with madden 07 wats the differnfce in madden 08 new players? WHOOPEE!!! for that ill stick witht the same 1!!
