Yeah.. just tried it and it's ****ing terrible. The series used to be about tactics and semi realism now it's just trying to be an action game but the style of game Ghost Recon was doesn't fit it at all.

As in, it does nothing new or special that CoD hasn't done, just merely changes the perspective. I haven't tried it yet, as it sticks me on a permanent loading screen for some reason but I can imagine exactly how it'll play.

The industry, for the most part, needs a kickstart. 90% of stuff released these days is stale, boring and derivative, yet is lapped up by the masses.

Dunno, I haven't seen much incentive to go back since. People aren't being too kind about it, so I don't really care either way.

This is a very open beta. It's main purpose is to promote the game more than anything else, followed by the laundry list of necessary fixes.

Don't have a key for 360, but I'm a PS+ member, so I will be playing it on my PS3 later tonight.

I honestly am not expecting anything but disappointment. Which is a terrible way to go into something :P

I would give the beta a 6/10.

So basically any shooter thats NOT a overrated/garbage re hashed Call of Duty game sucks according to you guys then. OMGS where are the kills streaks, noob tubes, and corner camping OMGZ guys this game sucks. UGH freaking gamers today.........

I thought it was pretty bad, but then again I think 3rd person should never be used with competitive multiplayer, to much camping and moving the camera to see around a corner while your safe in cover, it's just a bad combination. On top of that the controls are very akward and having to click the joystick to look down your sights then click it again to stop is just stupid, and why is there so much going on with the HUB at once? why is there a blue circle around my gun while I'm running? it's just unnecessary and confusing. Also, I don't know why this game and Battlefield insists on using such a crappy respawn system, especially in objective based game types, it's just asking for camping, boring, and unbalanced games. Which leads me to each team having different weapons, terrible terrible terrible idea, especially when one teams default rifle does about 30% damage and the other teams default rifle does about 70% damage. The only cool thing about this game is being able to customize every part of your weapon down to the gas system and trigger.

Yeah. Seriously.

Personally, I really like the direction this is going.

The class system assigns abilities in a way we haven't seen in a GR before. It's high time. The leveling/progression guide is much more understandable then BF's.

The detail they go to in the weapon customization is aweseome. They're just a few steps way from making this game a Forza/GT for guns.

Also like the ways they encourage team play, like covering your teammate so that he can interact with an object faster, or the lines drawn on the ground to guide you to the objective.

If you're just running around trying to beef up your kd ratio, you're playing it wrong. If anything is ruining the game it's the caliber of the players. COD fanatics need not apply. This is not for spazzy, trigger happy players with short attention spans.

My prediction is that this game will shine if you play with friends. In public matches, it will most likely devolve into simple-minded run-and-gun.

Wow, bummed to be reading all these "third person COD" comments. I was a huge fan of the Ghost Recon series and was really looking foward to this game. I haven't played the beta but I'm hoping I feel differently about it that most of you.xObscurity

As I mentioned, what may ruin it for you is other players that are trying to play as if it's CoD. If you have friends, you may want to squad up with them.

I havn't played the game yet but I was looking forward to trying it upon release. Hopefully it turns out fun because I havn't played any first or third person shooters in a long time.

I personally hate when people compare everything to CoD, but...

It's basically a Third Person CoD. An absolute noob fest. I'm glad I got to try it, cause I would have been upset if I spent money on it.

I enjoyed the GRAW games and liked the way they played. These are definitely the type of games you play with friends, especially the co-op mode.

Loved the old Ghost Recon games, the GRAW series all tho different then the previous one was still decent.

My sentiments exactly. Although GRAW was a huge departure from the original, I still enjoyed it. It wasn't great, but I loved co-op.

Thanks for your perspective. I'll give this game a try and wait for reviews, but I'll probably end up skipping it.
