Yeah the difference is big...i have a small 13inch SDTV for my room wheihc my 360 is plugged into, played my cousines 360 on a HDTV and i didnt think it would be such a difference...
So i'm getting a 20'' Sony Bravia HDTV with intergrated freeviewfor £280 fromplay.co.ukfor my birthday in a couple of weeks, caint wait :D
DAMN! I need to get a HDTV... But too bad I am only 15 (well 16, birthday is next month) years old and my parents are light years away from even considering getting ANY new electronic devices (sigh). But since I am turning 16 next month I can get a job and work on the weekends because of school. Anybody want to suggest a cheap quality HDTV?ThaSikhest
For the time being, you can hook your 360 to a computer monitor to play in HD.My sister just picked up a 32" LCD HDTV for about $600. Just work hard and you'll have it in no time.
I'm fine with normal TV
Would get HD if i got a chance though

i wouldn't really know, i have a normal tv to

Glad i'm not alone.
I got my xbox about 3 weeks ago. We had a 37" non-hd tv. I plugged in the xbox, it was killer and I was okay with it.
I left for the weekend, came home, parents had bought a 47" Full HDTV with 1080dpi and all the good stuff. I have no idea how i even looked at that old TV for all these years.
Lets put it this way, if I did'nt have an HD TV I probably would'nt even play games.packr4
lol..sure ya wouldn't
Anyway, I'll echo what most have said here in that basically playing on a SDTV is "do-able" but once you taste that sweet HDTV you'll likely never go back. I look at it the same way with HD movies and SD movies, when you don't know what your missing then SD looks great, once you actually see HD in action SD doesn't look so good and it's hard to enjoy SD after that.
oh yea hd makes a huge difference man. i also got a 32'' lcd samsung.but one thing i haven't seen anyone tell u on here is that hdtv's tend to have a very small lag to them cuz of the higher picture quality they have to produce. it wont make a difference in casual games but in fast paced or precision needed games like GH3 or halo, it will affect u some. wut i did is i kept my 27 SD tv just for halo cuz of the higher response rate and i use my hdtv for pretty much anything else.

8ms virtually makes no difference. That's 2/250 of a second. If anything, ping is what you'd want to worry about.

actually iv had people complain about the small lag before. yea it isn't much, im runnin 8ms also, but not like u can tell a whole lot, but it does effect my aiming a bit when i play online, my recticle seems to move slightly smoother on a SD, but im jus saying from my experience and from what other friends who have HD have told me.
