I have a 360 but no HD tv are the differences extremely noticable.

once you go to HD you enver go back....... i started playing my 360 on my 19" Widecreen samsung monitor i use for my pc.... i refuse to play it on the 32" SDTV in my room now. Saving up for a 42" HDTV.

I switched from a 15" SDTV to a 32" HDTV in my bedroom - and oh my. It's going from a video game experience to a cinematic experience.

DAMN! I need to get a HDTV... But too bad I am only 15 (well 16, birthday is next month) years old and my parents are light years away from even considering getting ANY new electronic devices (sigh). But since I am turning 16 next month I can get a job and work on the weekends because of school. Anybody want to suggest a cheap quality HDTV?

For the time being, you can hook your 360 to a computer monitor to play in HD.My sister just picked up a 32" LCD HDTV for about $600. Just work hard and you'll have it in no time.

Lets put it this way, I have like a 37" standard TV. I went to my friends house, he has a Panasonic 42" 1080p plasma HDTV. It's amazing. The difference is so unreal. Which is the main reason why me, and probably many others here are saving up for them.

Huge difference man, even if you get a small monitor. If you want a cheap one I recommend Vizio, the best cheap brand for the prize!! :)

I got my xbox about 3 weeks ago. We had a 37" non-hd tv. I plugged in the xbox, it was killer and I was okay with it.

I left for the weekend, came home, parents had bought a 47" Full HDTV with 1080dpi and all the good stuff. I have no idea how i even looked at that old TV for all these years.

k well i kinda need glasses but dont have them, would even a smaller hdtv be better that say a 32" sdtv? cuz when i play mass effect (that game in partlicular) the letters are all blurred, would hdtv make them clearer?

lol..sure ya wouldn't

Anyway, I'll echo what most have said here in that basically playing on a SDTV is "do-able" but once you taste that sweet HDTV you'll likely never go back. I look at it the same way with HD movies and SD movies, when you don't know what your missing then SD looks great, once you actually see HD in action SD doesn't look so good and it's hard to enjoy SD after that.

there is a huge difference but not that you will notice if you have never seen 360 games in HD before, the difference between your older systems to the 360 will be noticable and you will think it looks good, some text will be kinda hard to read and the text is kinda flickery but you prolly wont really notice it until you finally have it on an hd tv, I now I have an HD tv and my cousin came over with his 360 and we played CoD4 but he played on my other 20 ince standard def tv and it looked like crap compared to my 26 in 720p tv, the text looked kinda flickery and the graphics looked almost like regular xbox, but that is because I have been so use to HD for the past year.

oh yea hd makes a huge difference man. i also got a 32'' lcd samsung.but one thing i haven't seen anyone tell u on here is that hdtv's tend to have a very small lag to them cuz of the higher picture quality they have to produce. it wont make a difference in casual games but in fast paced or precision needed games like GH3 or halo, it will affect u some. wut i did is i kept my 27 SD tv just for halo cuz of the higher response rate and i use my hdtv for pretty much anything else.

Theres a fairly large difference but when I go to my friends house an play on his SD 32 I dont go OMG I can play this, Im actually surprised how much detail is retained. Still if your going to get an HD get a Toshiba Regza they are affordable and high quality.

8ms virtually makes no difference. That's 2/250 of a second. If anything, ping is what you'd want to worry about.

actually iv had people complain about the small lag before. yea it isn't much, im runnin 8ms also, but not like u can tell a whole lot, but it does effect my aiming a bit when i play online, my recticle seems to move slightly smoother on a SD, but im jus saying from my experience and from what other friends who have HD have told me.
