Lol I know that, but it's still nice to play with a handsome man rather than the usual boring type of macho man with muscles.
Prey and The Darkness aren't about the Multiplayer... it's the one player experience and I have to say, I wish I got the Darkness earlier on. It's incredible. I'm watching TV with Jenny and she kissed me lol.

lol jennydiesin the comic books
It is cool though, to see (what i assume) to be a women who enjoys gaming. It is refreshing seeing the female gender enjoying what is stereotypically a boy's hobby. Heck, even my coworkers look at me wierd when I am surfing gamespot at work. However, this in itself is another topic all together.
Darkness, one sweet game. Jackie Estacado, one badass dude.
I'm a screenwriter. I like playing anything with a story attached. The old shoot'em ups with no stories were boring as hell cause you had no goal to strive for... The Darkness and Bioshock on the other hand... You actually have a goal, it's what videogames are all about, stories.EnigmaticBeauty

how can you like Jackie?
he's a dirty scumbag thats possessed and he looks like he doesn't wash his hair
What? How is Jackie a scumbag?
It would never work between the two of you. Eventually you wouldn't be able to stand the fact that he barely moved his lips when he talked to you. He's like some sort of kill crazy ventriloquist.getyeryayasoutLMAO  Imagine if he used the darkness arms as the dummy
I have to say Jackie Estacado does have that bad boy look and image going for him,But at the same time he is rather drawn out emotional at times and kind of um one shaded a bit.
The video game guy I loved most would have to be Max Payne I mean there's a keeper he cares about people has the means and ability to keep the family safe not to mention,He is willing to go all out to protect to family and those he cares about.Thought he was much more of a developed character plus noir, like clive owen is just sexy.
i love how all these people r hitting on u in a forum...its quite amusing seeing as they dont get any action...ne ways...yea the darkness rocked but i wish it was longer.pygmahia5

Yeah, when Pong was concieved they were thinking about how sweet the story line would be...
Sorry to break it to you, but gameplay is what matters. A story is secondary.
Years ago, it depended on gameplay. Nowadays... I think story is paramount. If it has a captivating story, then that's enough to pull me through, gameplay is important but comes second for me. (That's my personal opinion and not expecting everyone to share it.)

I agree with that thought,But at the same time I think is why we have different genres of games. In RPG's most people play them just for the story why gameplay of most RPG's of old used the same gameplay but noone cared to much as long as the story was good and fresh. Where as in FPS's or action games you really do not know nor care why pac man is eating ghosts and magical pills.
I think that soon allot more games coming out are trying to mix the two why you have, The Darkness which is FPS but also in a way heavily story focused. The best example of this would BioShock and why so many love it I think is for me it blends the story and feeling of uniqueness of your character like a RPG but also with the action and pace of a FPS.

The story could be the best thing in the world, but if the gameplay is horrible it's not enough. I like to play video games, not watch them. Keyword being game. I can't fathom how anyone could think the story line is the most important part of a video game. I also enjoy a good story in a game, but unless the gameplay is fun it just doesn't matter.

Chaism
My point wasn't that a good story isn't important or nice in a game. It's that gameplay is the most important element. Both of those games have good gameplay in addition to good, if not cliched, story lines
Why can't all men in videogames be this good looking? lol. The game itself is brilliant, very atmospheric and I love it with 5.1 surround sound. You can even watch Flash Gordon on TV lol.EnigmaticBeauty
