Most of the updates that have no meaning and are very sudden (Like todays) are for different peripherals. Early this summer we had one for the Rock Band/Guitar Hero wireless controller and the one today was for the "Scene It" Controller.
Next time you turn your Xbox 360 and log in to Xbox Live, you'll receive a prompt to accept a mandatory system update.
Although the Fall season starts tonight, this is not the Fall Dashboard update but a minor patch that prepares the Xbox 360 for the controller included with "Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action."
