I managed to get the game early on XBOX 360, and I am on about the fourth mission on the campaign now.

So, I was just wondering if anybody had any questions about the game at all?

Better than CoD4 or not?
Also how's the flamethrower? Do you get to use swords/katanas?

A lot of people have the game man, the official release was yesterday. I'm currently on the final mission in that campaign according to my friend who has already completed it, and yes I'd say I like the campaign better than CoD4s by quite a bit.

Can TC or jamejame answer my other questions? I was sort of intrigued by the commercial as you see a guy with a sword or something similar I thought it'd be cool to use it. Oh and the flamethrower, how is it?

The flamethrower is extremely brutal, I'm not sure how well it will be implemented in multi as I haven't tried online yet, but in the SP you can literally see the skin of your lit enemies molting down their body. Lighting trees on fire and seeing an enemy fall out whom you were unaware of is extremely satisfying. As for katanas, they're used by the Japanese, but not the player... at least so far. My friend told me there was a pretty awesome final segment, but I don't know what thats supposed to mean.

It depends on how much you liked CoD4. They took a lot of stuff from the CoD campaign and pasted WWII on it. I personally love the game so far, but it's nothing new really, though the zombie mode looks awesome. Buy it for the fun factor alone, don't expect a huge amount of innovation. As of right now, I'd give it 8.7, but thats just SP wise.

I'd say its about the same length, maybe a tiny bit longer. You could definitely beat it in a day. I'm on the final mission at nearly 8 hours on normal.

Not sure yet, seeing as I haven't completed it.

But I do prefer the campaign in WAW to Modern Warfare's campaign so far, although I haven't completed it so I don't know for sure.

The flamethrower is awesome. You get it for the first time on the third mission, I think it was?

The game also has split screen and online co-op, which is a plus.

Haven't tried the online yet though.

I agree, campaign is definitely better overall. There's only been one level I haven't liked, and that was one involving a tank.

I'm new to XBOX 360 and I'm playing Call of Duty: World at War. During coop play it never saves the game. Every time I quit to play something else for awhile, I can never get my progress back and I have to start over. Any advice??
