I was told Roadrunner Lite speed is around 3mb but I hear that Netflix needs atleast that to run a decent quality streaming movie. But I also have the pc at home and a Lynksys G wireless router.

Is that why my netflix streaming on my 360 is only 1 out of 4 bars? Will I need regular highspeed roadrunner to get atleast 2-4 bars?

Yes a faster internet will give you more bars. Also using an ethernet cable will probably give you a bar.

3MB/s is kinda slow, that's like what I had when I first got broadband over 5 years ago. Comcast has like 10MB/s and my current service does 6....So yeah you should upgrade if you want to be able to sream something without it having to always buffer.

My house has Verizon Fios, and it works brilliantly.  The video takes around 15 seconds to start streaming from the moment you press play.  And it streams in DVD quality.

But yes, some routers are better with Xbox 360's, and running an ethernet cable directly from your router or modem to the system will improve the speed.

You can buy very long ethernet cables for pretty cheap, and as far as saving $100 of a wireless adapter, the labor of running the cable from the router to the Xbox is well worth it.

I also have Fios, but the Netflix streaming STILL refuses to give me more than one bar!  Which makes no sense, as I was getting 3 bars last night...

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS FARGING SERVICE?  I can't find ANYTHING online to explain my troubles...

It could be...it also depends on what you're watching and if Netflix even has HD version available.
