i have to pay 100 bucks for xbox live?!

ok so i got my xbox 360 with call of duty 4 and halo 3 it took me a whole summer to earn money but the dude at game stop said i need to buy a 100 doller peice to go online i am talking about the wi fi seeker or whatever well i did not make that much so no xbox live.Can i get this somwhare cheaper

I just renewed my subscription online and they're still running the upgrade from silver (free) to gold for only $39.99 which is not very much.

Actually there's a good reason wireless adaptors are fairly expensive for the 360. With a wireless adaptor you have a fairly high rate of packet loss, and since more, and more games are using UDP instead of TCP packet loss causes more serious issues w/ gameplay. If more players have easy access to wireless gaming on XBL the quality of matches would suffer.

If you search hard you can find original xbox wireless adaptors for pretty cheap, and they work on the 360s, but I really don't recomend gaming on a wireless connection unless you have to.

Strange, but if you go on Ebay like someone said, you can generally find one for cheaper than what you would pay.

I just actually read your post. You should just buy a 50.00 dollar 13 month LIVE card. when i paid 100 dollars to set up thatincluded the 50 buck LIVE card, a router and a 100 foot ethernet cable.
