i just can't decide...HELP!!!

ok, ive written a thread about this before but i'm just in a quandry.

my friend is getting rid of his 360 because he just usn't "into" video games anymore.  he wants to sell it for $300, here is what included:

console

hdd

wired controller

NFS carbon and mostwanted

lost planet

someother game i can't remeber

now idk what to do, i want it because i can have it now if i trade him a guitar amp i was planning on selling anyways, but idk if i should trade it or save up and buy a new one because i'm worried about the glitches, terrified actually.  the system was bought the christmas after launch i believe so therefore, there is no warranty.....what should i do??!?!?

Agreed. If it's out of warantee you could be left with a $300 brick. I would be weary of any 360 manufactured before Nov 2006. Some people have had no problems with their consoles, other's like myself, had had several bad consoles. My latest does not run hot and is much quieter than the previous one, most likely due to the new disk drive.

I never do any money transactions with friends, if something goes sour you can lose money and your friend.

his 360 is pretty loud too, i didn't know they turned weed whackers into game consoles
