I just don't get why everyone hates Shadowrun so much...

The controls are excellent, the graphics are pretty good (PC version), the cross-platform play worked almost perfectly. Sure..it needed a few more maps and other content, but why is it hated so much?

I agree with you. When I played it I enjoyed it. I think people were dissapointed was cuz Shadowrun is a popular Paper and Pencil rpg and MS made it into a Counter Strike type FPS.

I love this game, when i get bored it is still one of my fall backs.

and is it really such a bad thing that they made it into a FPS? I mean how good of a video game would it have made in this day and age if it didn't have any shooting in it? (actually now that i think about that statement i realise that it makes no sense at all so just disregard it)

needed a lot more maps, not many players anymore, no stat tracking or ranking of any kind? I was hyped for this game but it failed as a multiplayer only game.

It was a really bad use of the license.

I think it was a unique use. Sure they could have pumped out some action/RPG like Mass Effect, but I think it takes more skill to take a game and turn it into something that it wouldn't normally be.

Counter Strike + Magic, pass. Id rather play source of COD 4. there is no story, despite the opening cut scene, or that all the mutlplayer modes are basically the same.

While I love the game, I can completely understand why some (or most) people don't. It really needed a persistence system to survive in today's market. FASA tried to compensate with achievments, but for some reason that didn't have the same amount of traction with gamers. Gamers expect some form of leveling or stat tracking now. Any MP shooter without it is pretty much DOA. Plus, $60 for 9 maps and 2 game modes is a little steep. But at its core, Shadowrun reamins one of the deepest team-based shooters on the 360. Some of my best team play experiences have been with this game. Maybe because the few who play it actually get it.

many players online still. very fun game, multiplayer is really the only way this game would be fun. would have been more maps in d/l content probably but there are too many pouting loud weirdos that didnt like the "FPS" or didnt approve of the "liscensing" or some other b.s. Its a great game and its my choice still after a year, and i do own cod4, gears, frontline, halo 3, condemned 2, and many other games. shadowrun is still the best

AND WHY CARE SO MUCH ABOUT STAT TRACKING??? its a video game, people. A video game. play for fun, the lack of 'stats' shouldnt keep you from playing a fun game. care about your 'stats' in school instead
