Had to throw that in there :) the chappelle sketch of Sam' Jackson is amazing. Back on topic - Yeah Episode 3 will deffinetly have a lot going on. It's ment to be almost as long as the actual game and be the final in the series. We'll see nearer the time I guess. The portal gun in combat would be fantastic. There's already a mod for half life 2 but it's still got some bugs. Check out planet half life if you're interested in it - my guess is you have the 360 version instead of the pc though. I picked it up on both because GAME in the UK had a one week only sale on the 360 version for only £26... Couldn't pass up the oppertunity.

yeah, i saw that somewhere. episode 4 IS being developed by an outside studio with supervision from valve. it is to be the start of a new story arc. i just wish valve was good at the whole episodic thing, meaning they came out on schedule. if i remember correctly, ep 3 was supposed to be out by now

Ya Valve said there will be an official Half life 3. but Ep3 will be the last of the episodic content before HL3.

Yeah, the reasons for the episodes were to cut down on spending ages producing the next half life. The episodes are essentialy planned as half-life 3. But now that they're continuing it, that remains to be seen...
