everything was fine up until 5 minutes ago i was playing halo and i just got kick off my connection. I tried to connect and it told me test my connection i tested it and everything was fine but Xbox Live i tried again and it did the same thing. I know i still have a month and a half left on my xbox live account. Can some one please tell me whats wrong.
there apperantly updating xbox live....it was only supposed to be a 24 hour shutdown....ive been trying to but no luck... i'll try again tomorrow... i'm just glad its not just me...

I think we need more curses in that. And since I want to stay on-topic, the same thing's been happening 2 me. I was playing Castle Crashers with my friend, and then, all of a sudden, XBL had disconnected. I'm guessing this is the aftermath of the maintenance? (BTW, the same thing happened 2 me last night)

I think what it could be is just some horrible coding thanks to the Microsoft guys. I haven't been on live in awhile due to Spore, but it could just be a small server issue (firewall problem, wrong IP configuration, spilt Mt. Dew on the Server). WHO KNOWS?!? But, with most of these new games coming out that require multiplayer via XBL then they should have it running soon....
it seems to be intermittent. you get kicked, then it lets you on for a few minutes to get kicked again. no worries for me though, i was playing infinite undiscovery, and kept signing in and out so i thought i'd see if it was just me, guess not lol

mondays, wednesdays, and fridays are the only days i have to play on live and guess what i haven't been able to play this week. I really don't think i should be making a little deal of it.
im really surprised by the responces here.............where do all you guys live? Im in Scotland and my xbox is fine, live is working and has been working perfectly all week (except monday when they updated it)
same problem here. I was playing some nice game on halo, when some of my teammates got kicked and i was like ''omfgwtfhappenslol?'' and after that whole xbox live flipped. 10 minutes later I was able to log in without problems until now, still no problems. But i'll think i'm trying tomorrow again cus my friends aren't able to log in though.
