Wow you've got some EXTEMELY bad luck. I still have my console in mint condition from LAUNCH DAY and nothing has gone wrong with it. I hope I don't jynx it....Â
I love my 360...but knowing it will break,should I just get a Wii?Bikaben
no, it'll break eventually. try something else.
[QUOTE="Bikaben"]The only thing I was thinking of is maybe taping the chip so it doesnt fall off ot something..Anyhow,EVERY 360 dies.CKYSAMIn a long enough time line every system will die. Iv had my 360 since launch and no problems.
Uhhhh.... NES still works, SNES still works, 64, Virtual boy, GameBoy, if you care for your systems properly (provided it's solid hardware, obviously not an M$ console- or a sony handheld for that matter) they should have great longevity.
RedPhazon how much do you play it everyday?Bikaben
Â
Heh, I knew someone was going to ask me that. I play about 3-4 hours (not in a sitting though) everyday, for about five days a week.
I have a fan running on it,i NEVER touch the thing, only the disc tray and its very well ventilated..so I'm taking EXTREME good care of it.Bikaben
Â
Yeah, my 360 is well ventilated and it's got a fan running behind it so it doesn't overheat or anything. Works like a charm :).Â
I'm on my first one most people you see BS totally.
Â
Like that person who said they are waiting for their 12th your either playing ontop of a furnace or can't count.Â
Yep I have a christmas 05 console.Flacr4ck3r

the only console i have ever had that stop working was the ps2 disc read error
i had 3 ps2's because my first 2 got the disc read error
my snesstills works 64 works sega works gameboy advance works my 360 works
Â
as for the 360 overheating can happen if you have it in a hot place such as a room with no fans or AC or inside your entertainment center
i keep mine where it has breathing room on all sides
The only thing I was thinking of is maybe taping the chip so it doesnt fall off ot something..Anyhow,EVERY 360 dies.Bikaben
Every 360 dies...but not every 360 truly lives.     Â

Well if thats what he cooses to do what business is it of yours? Maybe thats what he does for fun. Besides 3-5 hours isnt that much. There are some people who double that a day, and still hold jobs and stuff. I dont really see the point of your post.Â
From what I have read,Every single Xbox 360 gets the Red Lights.some chip inside melts and you get the lights. And theres NO preventing it.Bikaben
Â
Iv had mine way over a year....still no red lightsÂ

I dunno, maybe my memory's kinda fuzzy, but from what I recall, no one's nes worked correctly. I mean it was like "alright man let's kick some rear on a boy and his blob and you had to mess with the thing for weeks befor eit would play. I had to send an Snes in once and believe you me it was weeks before I got that guy back. my gamegear died before it's time, the only game I really remember was psychic world (which was prety cool) , and I know there was a year or two i missed out on. i don't know how many time I took my chick's PS2 aaprt to clean the lens before I finally had to shell out 129 just so we could finish kh2. I think the only problem with most of thiose was that there was just too much grease on the dvd-rom rails. I missed out on a week of my 360 and sometimes I don't even play for that long. And they fixed it for free. I dig my 360. I love the fact that i dont have to sit in front of this thing to access my videos, phone videos, family album, all of my music, radio stations, (with tvversity) and all kinds of other stuff from my pc. without having to tie up my hardrive or slide a card in.The tv shows might kinda suck but there are decent movies to watch and some of the best games to come out in a long time, and just wait until the summer. I really want to get a wii, but I love my 360. when it broke I had it between my modem and my dish box in a tv cart. my daughter would get a hold of the controller, turn it on and it would sit for hours breathing hot air. it was my fault that it "melted" now it's by itself on a wire shelf and it doesn't even get hot, the controller far away from the kids. It's in the way you treat it.I don't know whether anyone knows this, but most of the red light problems that you all send your machines back for and wait weeks for a return, can easily be solved by a half good elelctrical appliance repair man and cost about 10 - 20 dollars to fix! I live in the middle east where we don't have anywhere to send our faulty 360s to. The ususal problem is a fault in the power board inside the console and can be fixed in ten minutes for 15 bucks. This may violate your warranty but if it has expired, what have you got to loose?
