I think you should either ask for some money backor some microsoft points.....
AND DONT FORGET TO GET THEM TO FIX XBL!!
also can you post the list of your reasons....i might just use them when i call them tomorrow trying to get my account to work
And here is a list of reasons you can use if you feel like joining me and my few friends in our quest.
1.Unlike your other competitors we pay for a gaming service that is suppose to be working fine when we wish to play.
2. If the service was free sure we can understand when it goes down since it costs money to keep it up but if we are paying for a service to cover the running costs then it should not be down for no more then a few hours or never.
3. We should be compensated for the money and time we forked out attempting to connect to your services. May it be 1 month code, M$ points or arcade game.
4. If they don't wish to compensate us for it then should we be playing games on our PS3's? Wii's? or PC's? instead of investing our money into the xbox brand for unreliable and crappy customer care support?
can't remember what the other 2 were since my friends signed off about half a hour ago. But if I do I can add them onto the list later. But that is basically the key points. But I still find it BS I cannot enjoy Halo 3 on my winter break v.v
Well, lets see,
XBL is about $4.11 a month with tax,
a 500 point card is $6.25
so, a 500 point card is essentially 1.52 months of XBL service,
therefore, XBL would have to be down, and actually down (I played a game of madden online today, need the membership for that), for 1.5 months before you should be screaming for such over compensation...
we were warned before xmas that it would go down, it's semi-down, but what is down is essentially the free silver services, like demos and such, tech issues take time, often they arent even sure what causes them, no one has a magical programming mirror that makes all show up immediately for fixing, I severly doubt they aren't doing anything, but still, no, we don't deserve outragious compensation.
If you can't handle a couple days of screwyness in the entire year of XBL, go play on PSN, I have both machines (ps3 and 360), you'll love it...it has barely any content, and lags like crazy, but it isn't down for outragious single day periods!
we were warned before xmas that it would go down They gave us a warning? When and where did this happen?knives2
Several websites said it would go down,
everywhere I looked it said it would, it's not a shock.

I guess I should have looked around a bit more. lolI hope you did not seriously call them and make yourself look like an idiot because the service is down.
You essentially paid for service maintenence, which is also used to fix issues in a speedy manor.
Now if you'd like, you could indeed give up the service to go to some other service that would probably ignore any problems that came up.
right now I am on the phone with xbox live arguing with them saying its BS that I cannot play on a game service I forked money out for. And when I have a chance to paly on it I cannot. So I want compensation or something. I am going to see if I can get like 500 microsoft points or something since me and a few other friends made a list of vaild points I should bring up in the argument. What do you guys think I should ask for?Simba_Dude
you think your the only one that has called them and asked for something? im sure microsoft will do something to pay back to people who brought their xbox360 for xmas..so just wait it out.
