If you mean install to HDD then I agree. I have Fallout 3, Orange Box, Oblivion all installed and the noise reduction and load times rule.

Is it really that good? I was thinking about getting a larger harddrive and getting NXE so I can do this. Is it worth it?

It's not worth it as in spending money on it, but it's a cool feature if you already have it.

i thought it was pointless, little to no load time improvement and if you have the game saved on your hard drive and your disc gets scratched it should still play fine but it doesnt, pretty useless feature if you ask me, only helps with noise and i have surround sounds so that isnt even a problem for me

Well there's a few things you forgot about in regards to the NXE. First of all, if you install your game and then scratch the disk, it WILL still play the game as long as it's in the disc tray. Secondly, by installing games to the hard drive, it reduces the wear and tear since the disc no longer needs to "spin" in the tray. Thirdly, it's cool that you have surround sound, but the noise reduction you are referring to also means that the console does not have to work as hard in order to function properly and efficiently. Meaning, the fans don't have to spin as often and you don't have to worry as much about the console overheating. But if your not worried about the RRoD and other problems the 360 is known to have I guess it is "POINTLESS"

I love the feature and use it with all my games that I play the most (you do need a bigger HDD though if you want to do more than a few games, I got a 120 gig for half price new at Target while I was there with a few friends because we had nothing ells to do so just look for a good random deal like that) The main reason I love it so much is that the system doesn't have to work as hard. And seeing as I am on my 7th 360 since launch and the warranty ran out on mine about 3 months ago AND I lost my job about 5 months ago, Yeah, I'd say it is a good feature.
