So I've been wanting to play a mech game recently. I've played Armored Core 4 and really liked it. Thinking about getting it again, maybe For Answer, or maybe both. Then I remembered Chromehounds. I want to play it now but they shut the servers down a long time ago. Was it because no one played it anymore? I thought it was a great idea for a game. It was a lot of fun if you actually had people to play with and it wasn't lagging too bad. Anyone else want to see a sequel?

I heard it was a pretty amazing game in its prime... I like my mechs slow and purposeful, a la Mechwarrior as opposed to Armored Core. I picked up Chromehounds last year just to see if i could get a glimpse of the Multi fun in the single player campaign.... No such luck, it was crap. But i can see how it would be fun in a clan.

Chromehounds was easily one of my favorite games on the 360. Yeah, no one really played it anymore and the people who did pretty much controlled the whole online game.

Was ok but nothing amazing imo. I just look at it and get pissed off that like 800 of the gamerscore is locked now.

It was a pretty fun game and I loved the customization. I still wish they made a sequel, but then again I wish that for a lot of games that have a lot of faults (Too Human).

Never played it myself, but I knew a dude one time who spent something like 1700 hours on his profile. Must've been one hell of a game.

It was a love it or hate it game. You loved it because it took time and wasn't a run and gun robot action game, or you hated it because it took 15+ minutes to cross a map (and possibly find someone).

My brother used to tell me stories about running a support/command bot and directing his squad to victory without doing any fighting himself.

Yeah, unfortunate that so many gamers have such a short attention span and no mind for strategy. They just want to run around and spray bullets indescriminately and see a +100 when they kill something.

I loved that game! and ya because it basically forced you to join a clan you made good friends from it and the focus on team work was a really nice change and the persistant war made the online interesting and the depth of customization was great. As far as online experiences I havent played a game like it ohhh and spys vs. mercs in the splinter cell games I seriously have no idea how that did not become very popular.

I liked the game, but even I did wish it was a tad faster and slower in some parts. I feel that for the 15+ minutes of finding the enemy the 2 minute battle was far too short. I would rather have liked something like 10-12 minutes (max) to find someone and then closer to a 3-4 minute battle. Now I didn't play the game enough to learn the maps so maybe once you did you learned where people would go and you could anticipate it, thus making the travel time less, but still. It was a very fun game and while I did want it to be a tad faster I still loved the fact that it was so slow.
