Oblivion... you can pick it up for like $20 bucks now and play it for a month straight and still have plenty to do. Caution; can really impact your social life LOL

I have Oblivion because I started out gaming with RPG's and I haven't picked it back up in months, I think its a bit too slow or the learning curve is longer than I thought, I want to enjoy it, but I hate waisting 2 hours in a game and get nothing accomplished. Am I missing something? I plan on revisting the game in the near future once the cold long winter settles in. I'm hopeing to have better patience.

Cheapo games would be:

Dead Rising
Splinter Cell
Saint's Row

Probably go with Rainbow Six

Shivering Isles is the expansion. Don't buy that until you have normal Oblivion.

Oblivion is a good game for you. Even after the main story line is done you still have side quests and even after side quests, the game is great! I suggest you save up enough money for the GOTY version because it's worth it.

Shivering Isles is the expansion pack for TES IV: Oblivion NON-GOTY edition.

TES IV: Oblivion GOTY edition is the original oblivion game + the expansion pack.

Like others have said if you can get Oblivion for cheap then that's definatley the way to go. You could also check out Puzzle Quest on Xbox live which will last a very long time if you get into it and is only 1200 points I think. Castlevania is also fairly long, about 10 hours or more if you go back to find the dozens of secrets and collect the hidden special items. Great value and a classic game for only 800pts.

Rainbow Six has a fun multiplayer or if you are like me then the terrorist hunt mode can keep you busy for hours (but also make you want to throw the controller).

Oblivion is also really good but I tend to get bored with it after too long and it ends up sitting for a while before I pick it up again. All of the expansion packs for it are supposed to be free sometime soon I believe.

He's right. Just get the regular one, you dont really need an expansion on a game that last over a hundred hours

Oblivion rocks. Splinter Cell: Double Agent is good and cheap too. Whee!! Dead Rising, though the game would be better without the timed missions. Anyone know how to disable those???
