Jeezzz i dont know whats wrong with me anymore. I cant get "hooked" on a game that i feel i NEEEDD to play to get my fix. Here are my my most recent games that are just not doing it for me :(

skyrim (although i did play it 500 plus hours)

mass effect 1,2,3

dragon age

gears of war 3

battlefield 3

borderlands

dark souls

i should be hooked on dark souls but after coming off skyrim the whole medevil context is wore out on me. Sure i blasted thourgh mass effect 3 but i have no desire to go back. So i though i needed some online action and got GoW3 and BF3, that didnt do it either.

I want a game that gets me hooked like it was an MMO, have some online co-op, that makes me want to work to get random epic loot and i have a character that progress and meaningful. Any insight?

And for the record i do have my eye on dragon dogma but not too sure about it till i play the demo next week. any thoughts or suggestions?

Might I suggest Saints Row: The Third? It was so addicting completing all the missions and activities, I 100% that sucka! Also look at Batman Arkham City, it has tons of side stuff to do, and is easily one of the top action adventure games of the generation.

Turn off Xbox360 and do something "physical". Just try not get addicted to that either.magicalclick
i do, go out swiming, bike riding, i used to work out and train MMA but cant afford the extra bills. I just want a game that gets me sucked in like it was an MMO so i have a game to sit down and get lost in. Right now it feels like any game i play is a chore cause nothing feel new or fun anymore. I guess its just me turning old. I remember the days when i was younger when i would be so hooked on them, now its like ive been there done that with everything. -_-

Maybe try something like Darksiders or The Saboteur. Both are very cheap and great games. I also loved AC : Revelations , kept me interested for the whole game.

SR3 is excellent as well but it is not overly long. Fable 2 is worth a look as is GTAV and Red Dead Redemption , all great games and quite cheap now.

Batman AA and AC are my favourite games of all time especially city its got over 60 hours with all the side missons and collecting riddler trophies which is important for the riddler side misson, tons of new villans, huge world, challenge maps are really fun and great story and combat

10/10 and theres going to be a harly quinn dlc yay

Fallout: New Vegas . . . It's like 90% similiar To Skyrim which I also loved to death, I got all the achievements for it and got the best possible gear for me and my follower, I just wished that the quest menu was properly sorted so I can easily keep track on the quests that I haven't done yet . . .

Sniper: Ghost Warrior - Ive just bought it and liking it, only naff bits are the assault rifle shooting, aiming is irratic but the sniping is tense and sppot-on. Also try Phantasy Star Universe.. thats a good MMO.

Castlevania HD on the 360 marketplace, it's an arcade game. There's lots of items and things to collect to make your character stronger. Theres plenty of characters and stages from all the favorite Castlevania games. 6 player co-op so you can play it with your friends, I have blast with this game when I played it regularly. I have over 300 hours on only 1 character and close to 200 on a few others.

Yeah, it's not like Bethesda had anything to do with making both of them or anything.

Well their pretty similar to me, a couple of variations here and there . . . you can sneak, pickpocket, do tons of quests, fast travel, wait, sleep, choose perks while levelling, both have plenty of bugs, takes about 150 hours to finish, carrying limits . . . It DOES have its fair share of similarities . . .

If your looking for constant addiction without where and tear may i suggest an MMORPG. A good starting point would be World of Warcraft as it has dominated the market for some many years. However the market has become so diluted recently with StarWars: The Old Republic, TERA and Guild Wars 2 soon to be released you can pick and choose which ones you would like to invest your time in. But if you are looking to become hooked on something console games arnt the way to go as they all have an ending. MMORPG's on the other hand are limitless, have no ending and entirely depend on how much time you want to invest into them. (Coming from a previous Warcraft addict soon to be Guild wars 2 addict who also owns a Xbox and has 200 hours in Skyrim)

Well 2 games which I found quite addictive were Just Cause 2 and Crackdown 2 I know their not the best games in the world but I ended up playing them for about 50 hours. Overall I thought Just Cause 2 was the best so I would highly recommend that over the other but plenty to do in both.

Yeah man, you are just getting a little burnt out, because a lot of those games on your list are incredible.

It happens to everyone from time to time. Maybe try something else like some of the suggestions. You'll get back into it when the time is right. I usually read a lot more when I lose interest, and eventually it comes back.

Also, do you have any tried and true games? Go back to those for a while. This generation it's the dead space games, if I start getting bored of other games I'll go back to those on really high difficulty and it gets me right back into the swing of things.

My only suggestion is to take a brief break from gaming. I've been in your situation before and learned that a break of about a week or two helps.

GTA: San Andreas is on Games On Demand.

Or try GTAIV if you never have.

I would also say the Halo series, but Halo 2 may be hard to track down.

I think my real vote goes to my favorite, and personally most addicting game, Fallout: New Vegas. And it will get you away from the medievil theme as well.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The story for KoA isn't that great but it keeps you engaged as you just try and get to the next level.

Have you played bioshock or L.A. Noire? Bioshock is pretty addictive and theres alot of things to do. L.A. noire wil probably be just a one time play through though.

Have you tyed battlefield 3?

L4D

Saints Row 3 was excellent, but not overly long.

Took me about 20 hours to %100 it.

I really recommend L4D as a game to play over a long period of time.

Get Fez. It seems innocuous on the outside, but you can dive as deep into that game's secrets as you want. Best ten bucks I've spent all year.
