so my 360 is in my room and the computer is in the living room. I want live and i cant afford wireless and i cant have a 100ft. cord running trough the house. i was wondering if i can buy a 2nd modem and plug it in the phone jack in my room. If this is possible please give me instructions how.thx
You could try a "Power Over Ethernet" solution, not sure on the prices for that though. I only recently became aware of that tech, but am using the Xbox adapter currently.
I have a 50 foot ethernet cable that I have to roll out every time I use Live. I roll up it again afterward. It sucks but to me it's better than spending $100 for the Microsloth adapter and $60 for a wireless router. That's $160 saved for a minor inconvenience.

I have 50 ft. cable. Run it down through the floor and have it come up through where yor router is. That's my setup.
