I need an open minded response: XBOX 360 VS PS3

I have a Xbox 360 and have never played the PS3 but of course I have seen commericals and trailers of game play and seen others play briefly as I walk past them in game stores...so my question is really to those who own both 360 and PS3 or at least has played a lot of games on both systems, really which one is better? I mean my friend who has always loved xbox and play station and who has a 360 now has told me that his brother-in-law has the PS3 and it's graphics are a heck of a lot better then teh 360. I mean is this really true for a lot of games or just some games??? and if the graphics for the same game really are better on the PS3 then the 360, are they really what hmmm $200-300 bucks better?

Don't get me wrong I love my 360 and I can understand systems having pros and cons and these past days all I've been reading are long comments between fanboys battling it out for their system but serioulsy which is better? Or is this a question taht can only be answered with an opinion and not a fact? Sorry maybe I am just rambling on after a long night...it's 1am where I am now. but I think i'ma go play some 360...haha

I don't play games every single day and I might go a few days or a couple of weeks without playing...I have a life but every chance I do get I play my 360. I love playing games and I don't just care about graphics. Mostly it's story and if the game is fun or if it does a good job of pulling you into the game. Besides I was saying that my friend told me about the graphics part, I was asking aboutany other reasoning someone couldsay which system is really the best or is it really just all in someone's opinion. so my bad man I was just asking a question. just to set things straight, I would never buy a PS3. I love my 360.

There is no reason to buy another system period if you already own a 360. No system is better than any system, 360 simply has better games and from the sound of it, youre not a gamer if youre concerned about graphics. Go play your 360 or watch a ps3 commercial on youtube. I just got tired of fanboys with closed minds acting like little girls figthing each other just basically saying my system is better cause I love it. ha. Lets put it this way, I own a 360 my brother owns a PS3, I hardly ever play is PS3 (only for certain exclsuive like Heavinly Sword) and the occasional Resistance (cause I entered in the Gamespot Fall of Man tournment recently), while my brother tends to try and play my 360 almost as much as he plays his PS3 and when we want to play together we always play on my 360 rather then his PS3. The Ps3 is a solid console, however the games for it are rather weak in comparison and the online network and features are just so much better on the 360.

However I am somewhat biased towards the 360, IMO it is the best console of this generation at least in a competitive gaming environment with seriously titles (see how I am excluding the WII :) )

i cant enjoy playing oblivion on my xbox360, because it keeps loading every single time during the gameplay, i dont ride a horse because it makes it alot worse, if there are more than 5 enemies in the screen oh xbox suffers so badly, i heard and read that u dont have these problems with ps3 version, and that ps3 version looks better than x360 version...is this supposed to be what u get from an xbox360?(i didnt mention about freezing and disc reading error problems)(i got used to them gotta stand beside xbox360 and keep opening and closing the discdrive several times untill xbox360 decides to accept that that disc is an xbox360 disc)(i never tried to trick my xbox360)

I own a 360 anda PS3 is only a couple of meters away from me aswell. In my opinion, the 360 is better because of the games, xbox live and the controller. I can't stand the PS controller and xbox live a lot better then PSN. But the most important difference is that PS3 doesn't have much exclusives, and imo the once that they do have arent nearly as fun as the once for 360. Both have good graphics and I've seen mutlible agruements about which one has the best. But in the end it all comes down to the games on it.

It has everything to do with the system... 360, better graphics... there you go, 360 is a system. If Sony build a better system, they would be the one with better graphics.

i disagree its the RSX is lacluster in comparison in some areas. E.G. lighting which gamespot points out although some things could be due to lazy devs but i am too lazy myself to find out haha

The PS3 Obilivion is newer code. It released a year later. Don't forget that. The 360 and PC versions are supposedly getting the same updates, but they have yet to issue them. Anyway, this should be in the System Wars forum. Anything in here is subject to bias anyway you look at it. Not that I'd be biased or anything.

Some games graphics on PS3 are better, but far and few. Gears of War is still the most graphically impressive game to date on any console.

Ok the answer to your question is no the PS3 does not have better graphics (and this is not a fanboy talking) for some 3rd party games the graphics are the same, but not one of the PS3's currently released games can touch any of the 360's top titles, but once MGS4 comes out on the PS3 that will be a different story, but as of now the 360's top titles are better graphics wise anyway.

The answer to your overall question should you buy a PS3 is yes definitely if want more variety and the option to play any good game that comes out no matter which system it is on and you can spare the money then by all means go buy a PS3.
