Here's how you do 2 million gold in Fable2 in 8 easy steps...
1- Buy whatever shops, inns, houses (don't forget to rent them & set maximum price) you can with the money you have right now & save game.
2- Remove Fable 2 game disc from tray & place such disc in it's plastic case.
3- Turn off TV & Xbox360 gaming system.
4- Call travel agency & reserve cruise trip to the Caribbean.
5- Pack clothes and go on vacations for two weeks.
6- Return home, turn on xbox360 gaming system & TV.
7 - Insert Fable2 game disc on Xbox360 & load your game.
8 - Voila! your character has 4 gazillion gold.
You're welcome ñ__ñ

In the same order of ideas... The fact that making money it's WAY too easy kind of ruined a lot of things in the game... like the reason to get a job (besides the 2 job-related achievements), look for offers (why looking for x gold discount when you got the money to buy all the weapons from the shop even if the prices are 6000% the regular price of the items) or try to get the sympathy of/inspire terror to the vendor...
And even when they promoted so much the fact that "every choice affects the game", I have found most decisions (like 90%) don't affect in any way the story... Like the final choice... I took the particular one that obviously was not going to be very popular among the citizens of Albion... but every villager still loves me anyway...
Fable 2 feels like a dumb down-practically linear RPG to me... and way to short (6 hours to complete a RPG, really? where are my +80 hours social-life-killer RPGs?)
If you're looking for a decent RPG you're better with Mass Effect/Oblivion... and of course FF XIII
