Until bioshock ill play that a lot then stop playing 360 because i will probably get the 3 RROD right when halo 3 comes because of all the good games coming i am only playing them when they come out not demos or stuff before anyone else limiting play :P
i've had my first and only Xbox 360 now for over 18 months. I'm not worried about it dying, because if it was going to die, it would have done so 12 months ago. I think you are just paranoid.
Just think though, if it does get TRoD close to halo 3, you can complain to customer service about your situation, (how your a loyal Xbox supporter, etc.) and might get something free out of it... (like a game, or MS pts.)

this is exactly what happened to me. i just shipped mine to microsoft yesterday...so the earliest i can get it is the week of halo 3's release.
since your not gonna play it until those games comes out...its gonna die(360) cause your leaving it dead for too long...hahahahaahahahahaha.....j/k :PZnLRyDa
sorry for the double post but THIS IS WHAT HAPPEND TO ME! i bought a wii and i didnt play 360 for like 3 weeks and i wanted to play gears and BAM! screen turns blue and when i reset it 3 red F-ing lights.
ive had my 360 since launch and it hasnt froze in over a year (i swear) its in great shape, and id feel great if it stayed that way til the next system comes out

That sounds kinda stupid if you ask me. If it's gonna die it's gonna die and there is no way around it. I've had mine since launch and still have had no problems with it.
dude play the 360 and enjoy it if your 360 dies it dies get over it then ya take it back to the store and get urself a new one duh and that is all ya have to do man the ring of death is not the ring of death the real ring of death is all four lights turning red at once that is the real ring of death till then play the hell out of it enjoy the 360
