that's disappointing. KOTOR works best as an epic singleplayer experience.bulletsword
My thoughts exactly i more than likely wont buy it.

Agreed. There is still a lot of loose ends in KOTOR. Create a single-player game with a great story that wraps up the story and then create a MMORPG, if you(BioWare?) really want. However, I think that a Star Wars MMORPG would suck. You'd have thousands of people walking around with a lightsaber. Not much fun, if everyone is the same character, in my opinion.
Old news, by the way. I heard this rumor some time ago.

I agree... I would much rather have KOTOR3
I'm totally in agreement with many posters. If KOTOR 3 was announced as a single player game, I would have reserved this game in a heartbeat. However, now that it is turning into an MMO, I am a little uncertain of this game.
Having KOTOR go from an epic single player experience to an MMO is a horrible idea. That would be like if God of War went from being an action game to a turn based RPG game. I know this MMO KOTOR hasn't even been released (or shown us screenshots), but I don't like this new direction in the KOTOR series.
If it's not broke, don't fix it. I thought KOTOR had a good formula for everything. No need to drastically change the direction of the series. KOTOR (the first game) is one of my favorite RPG games of all time by the way. It really sucks that this is now going to an MMO. If this game does come with monthly fees, I may not even try it out. I'm really disappointed with the new direction the KOTOR series is heading.
Bioware wanted to make an MMO, there KOTOR games took place in an interesting time of the Star Wars universe. That's probably why they chose it.
I thought this was confirmed a few weeks ago.

MMO's cost a monthly fee.
were talking 360 here though so they proally wont does phantsy star universe or two worlds have a monthly fee?
You have it backwords. It's supposed to go, we are talking 360/PS3 get ready to pay even more than PC owners. Yes, we will most likely have to pay. And yes all MMOs that have been on the 360 and PS2 have been pay to play, pay as much as the PC versions luckily. Two Worlds isn't an MMO.

You're gonna have to pay for the game for sure, probably the normal MMO rate, 15$-13$(US) a month, it's not yet confirmed whether the game will require a gold XBL subscription.

Pretty sure it is Primary a PC MMO. And this news of a KoToR MMO that has been in developement by Bioware is almost 2 years old. This isn't 2 week old news its 2 year old news. They opened their MMO Studio in San Diego and thats when the Rumors started. Nothing has been officially Confirmed as to what the MMO is, but that EA Rep let the cat out of the bag at E3 that is was KoToR by mistake so we unoffically know what it is.
This said. The Setting for a Star Wars MMO works. The Setting that SWG uses was the worst idea Sony could have had. the universe just doesn't allow for the creativity you need to make an MMO, and the new SWG Build where everyone can be Jedi is stupid when they are pretty much a dead race in the timeline.
The KoToR universe makes sense. The Jedi Population was High, The Sith are known and Dark Jedi Exist, You could create one HELL OF A GALACTIC CIVIL WAR that makes sense,
The KoToR universe also allows for the Jedi to not be overused. ontop of this, You can probably expect there be like 5-10 different Jedi type Classes.
its not just a basic class in the KoToR series. they really can do something with it for everyone to enjoy. Be Patient and see how it plays out instead of complaining until we actually have information which is still probably a long way away. Im sure considering the timeline of Development were looking at a Late 2010 release or 2011
