I'm getting sick of Sonic games that suck. I remember, when i was younger, they were actually decent games. What do you think Sega needs to do to make a Sonic game that doesn't blow?
They just need to go back to 2d. They've been trying 3d for like ten years now and at best we got decent games. At Best. Go back to 2d, throw their lame anime stories in the trash and cut... I don't know, like four fifths of the character roster. We only really need Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

I'm not saying Wii is better or anything like that, but Sonic Unleashed got a better score on Wii than it did on X360
What he said^^^ except maybe in 3d (levels character models etc.) but stick to strictly 2d gameplay as in SFIV, that seems to be a style decision that has been universally well received.
Sonic Team are a buch of hacks. They think that every Sonic games need a gimmick for it to sell when all we really want is a game where Sonic runs fast through levels. That's all, but they have to give us crappy Werehog levels and have Sonic run around with a sword. They even added a mess load of characters that no one likes.
I remember sonic levels in sonic adventure 2 were great, also played sonic adventure 1 at a friends house and it was great whay not just stick to it and add like super wow special effects of speed

In Sonice Unleashed, the Sonic levels are awesome. Best since Adventures...and then you play WereSonic..and oh God the lameness. It's like they purposely want to ruin their games.

They need to make a sonic game just like Sonic XD directors cut.
why do so many people feel it needs to be 2d? I happen to think that a horrible idea certainly wont help the game sell in this day and age. What they need to is head back along the lines of sonic adventure. That's a great game that proves sonic can work in 3d they just need to evolve the formula. I agree though that they need to strip out gimmicks and all the crappy new characters. They need to stick the the classic sonic stuff. They could easily make a great game at anytime with sonic but the people handling it are hacks.
they're making a new one that's entirely 2D. i saw some video footage a long time ago and haven't heard about it since.

It got a better score because it only reflects the content of the Wii's library.
The originals are on the marketplace as we speak, I nearly laid an egg when i saw Streets Of Rage 2 up there as well. Buy them as a stocking filler for yourself.
