I wish current gamers now can accept change and not be stuck in the past..

All the whining going on now about casual gaming and How gaming is changed. Go sell your xbox and games in general. For example splintercel blacklist is totally different than chaos theory was. Chaostheory was more slow paced and you had to take your time but now its more action driven. Why the hate for this generation of gaming its an amazing time.. Another example.. Resident evil series, People hate the run and gun for Resident evil 6 even tho its taken a nice turn, horror===/==survival horror

Me confused... I think we all know games series change down the line... I like fast action games, but I hate the fact they become a joke in difficulty. Most fast past games now think just giving something an increase in health = difficulty. What happened to planning your fight, flanking, trying different things, puzzles ect?. This is why something like dark souls succeeded in. It didn't come with a difficulty setting. If you got though the game by finding weak points and learn how to fight, not button mash, spray bullets, charge straight in.

I don't think it's a matter of just change. Many people believe that games are changing for the worse.

Everyone's varied, it's all subjectivity. As a dedicated FPS gamer who loves the 90s, I personally think it's fine so far. While there are some stuff that bothers me, I personally think everything is fine because there are some games that still caters to me and it's all about having fun really. Quake 2 which is one of my favorites from ID Software. It's also easily one of the easiest FPS games I've ever played. Hell, the Halo games are much tougher to play on Legendary compared to playing Quake 2 on Hard, but just because it's not difficult, doesn't necessarily mean it's not a great game. Quake 2 is amazing because it redefined what makes old school fps so great: rewarding kills, fun weapons, beautiful pacing, and great gunplay. FPS games are starting to be more focused on realism, and now it's more popular than ever, but I'm still finding games I can ejoy.

Change can be great if the implementation is properly executed.

Change isn't always a good thing. Kinect, for example. Ok yeah, motion control tech is cool. Does it have any practical value for most games? None whatsoever. A regular dual-analog controller can do everything much better.

Also, waaayyyy too many sequels at this year's E3. I guess that's somewhat expected at the last E3 before Sony and Microsoft's next gen systems are announced, but still. Disappointing to see Watch Dogs as the only new quality IP announced, and that's probably not even coming out until next gen.

We can accept change, just not good change. Kinect is bad and is being forced into games and Microsoft keeps putting TV and Music apps into the 360 instead of releasing new games, that isn't what gaming should be.

I am ready for the 8th generation to begin. Yes videogames are always changing with the times. This is an industry so it is changing with the times. While I'm not the biggest fan of motion controlled gaming. I did eventually buy and try the Wii console. Not until in reached $150.00 and came with 2 pack in games.

I think most gamers accept changes within the industry. It is only a few vocal minority that see to be really upset. So it seems worse than it really is.
