What if you're lazy and do things at a slow pace, feel like stealing a bit, getting a family? Most people say RPGs are about 20 hours long, but I always spend wayyy longer just enjoying the experience.

Most people that work at gamestop have no idea what they are talking about...........like you. Character creation isn't even in the game. You change your character based on the decisions you make for one. I can pretty much guarantee that the side missions will take longer than 2 hrs.

Agreed, Molyneux said there was 100+ hours of side quests and exploring... not 2
Other websites claim that the game will take over 60 hrs if you actually take time to appreciate it. (IE buying houses and doing sideqeusts etc.)
I'm not sure where people are getting 12 hrs; it seems like itd be near impossible to complete EVERY sidequest in the game.
Anyway, people on this thread are saying they've already played it? The release date is said to be the 21st... Can anyone confirm this for me?

12 hours refers to the main campaign. So if you go straight for the main story line and dont complete any sidequests the game will only last roughly 12 hours. However, the point of the game is to get you to do sidequests and "live" an actual life. Ie. buy houses, get married, have kids, etc... You can more than likely beat the game wihtout doing any of these things but that would lead to a very short and probably boring game.
considering the fact that the ideal way to play a RPG is just enjoy the experience and do every little feature it contains, such as: Main Quest, Jobs, having a family, questing with a friend (this should take up most of your time), and of course the side quests. all that has to sum up to more than 14 hours easy

Wow. As a manager at my Gamestop. You must have horrible numbers if you tell customers that crap. I can't imagine your store being the top in your district.

you have no idea what your talking about do you? I'll prove you wrong right now 1. the first fable was about that long 2. fable is 10x larger and let's you travel throughout the whole world. 3. There are alot of changes and additions to fable 2 4. do some research
If you guys think about it, the main quest for Oblivion could be finished in about 12 hours. And Ive logged over 120 hours on just one character. So far.
Heres to hoping Fable 2 will be more like Oblivion (length-wise at least)!
