Dude its just a basic ethernet cable that comes with the xbox..nothing special about it.. i dont use mine cause i needed a longer one
im glad the controller wires are breakaway once somebody tripped over my pc usb wire and they busted a usb port i would hate for that to happen on xbox 360 but with breakaway wires i think its impossible and another funny thing that happend with my slim ps2 is somebody tripped over the ps2 wire and the 1 ounce ps2 flew right off the table

i dont know if the 360 wires are breakaway......however, they were breakaway on the original xbox, so I cant see them stepping backwards and using regular wired controllers
it says right on gamestop.com The controller includes a nine-foot (nearly three-meter) break-away controller cable. justinpate
I have a wired xbox 360 controller and it is breakaway, which is a good idea if you have a wired controller. I actually have an off-brand wired controller, but I stil feel the breakaway mechanisim is better than it was on the original xbox. My original xbox would constantly tell me the controllers were unpluged while they were still pulgged in. Nothing like that happens with my wired controler.
Whatever dude, like you said people trip over you controler wires..the wireless is the way to go..plus the wired are not breakaway like the old xbox.. i know 50 is alot, but still better then having you xbox pulled over and broken.
Microsoft will not fix your xbox if there is physical damage to it.. So if someone pulls is down.. you just lost 200 bucks.
