If I Change The Resolution On My 360 Will The Graphics Go To Hell?

Okay, so when I need to read something in the game such as a scoreboard in NHL 08, I just flat out can't do it. It's so small. And even in any other game when I need to read something I have to go about 2 inches from the TV to see it. I have perfect vision. But if I change the resolution, will the graphics go bad?

Anyway, have fun being able to read in-game text. Not sure why devs make the font so dam small.
