Don't think you'll want Halo unless a lot of your friends have it and you'll play a lot of LAN games... Gears of War 2 has bots, so the local multiplayer isn't too bad, even though the AI is stupid at times. Halo's single player isn't very fun to me, and Gears isn't much better; both games are centered around multiplayer.
Well I feel kinda pressured thats why. My 360 collection is really small and kinda suks as what some people tell me. I've played Halo 3 already anyways but I got bored with it since I refuse to pay to play online. I've also played the first Gears and beat the campaign in one day. Thats it.
Get what games you like to play, not what games you think will make your collection better. If you want a long single player maybe try fallout 3. That game is a blast.

whoa whoa whoa. If your internet allows you to play online, get gold. If you buy the 13 month subscription for $50, that's only 5 bucks a month. I bought mine at Best Buy for $30 after a $10 price drop and a $10 coupon I got from buying my 360 a few months earlier. Online is definitely worth it for a few bucks a month.
I'm not an online gamer myself but I'd say Gears is worth the pickup. Haven't played Halo 3 yet so I can't comment on that but I definantly say get Gears.
troll??? Xbox Live at Buy.com usually just $40.00 for 12 months. Sometimes on Ebay $25 to $30, I got 2 years for $50 & nearly another year for free from Microsoft.
im not online gamer myself cause of my modded 360. u should go for gears2. i'd repeated the campaign for 5 times. halo 3 is a bit boring plus the graphics does not look so nice evnthgh it is xbox exclusive. i hope halo odst will push the 360 to the max. u should mod ur 360 aswll xbx_36

just for sp? i dont think so, theyre fun but the mp is where these game shine. atm u should get other games but still, theres a lot of places where u can get xbl at a good price, then yes, buy gears and halo3. but if u dont want to pay for online and u say u have few games, theres a lot to take your time. begin with fallout or oblivion if you dont have em. bioshock, mass effect, i dont know, theres a lot of big games in the 360, right now when im tired of online i still play lost odyssey, mass effect and oblivion.
